Swedish singer & songwriter Sibel, is the “Face” for FACE Stockholm’s striking Spring 2013 makeup look
There’s just something so glamorous about the makeup from FACE Stockholm. I’ve been in love with their minimalistic black compacts and the shiny silver lipstick tubes that just feel expensive and luxurious. I also love the edgy looks that FACE Stockholm produces for every season. FACE Stockholm’s Winter look focused on deep berried lips, but for Spring 2013, the eyes are the focus.
When you look at singer Sibel’s hot pink eye makeup, you might think “oh, that’s not going to work on me.” But don’t judge too quickly. Go to a FACE Stockholm boutique and try it on. You will be surprised at how cool it looks! I have a lot of color in my eye lids, so the hot pink was more a neutral pink on my lids. But here’s the truth about makeup: Makeup experimentation is fun! If you don’t like the look, you can always wash it off. When you’re working with good products, like the ones sold by FACE Stockholm, the formulas will be versatile enough to wear them in various ways. Hot pink eye shadow looks edgy when piled on eyelids, but it is exciting and pretty. If that is just too much for you, take a fingertip and dab a bit of this #24 eye shadow in pink on lids, smoothing it with your finger, as you would with a deep lipstick you wanted to soften into a lip stain. The shade will be a a sheer pink that looks acceptable even in a conservative work environment. Take a wet eye liner pencil and trim your upper lid near the lash line in this pink, using a pale powder on the rest of the eyelid. The deep and intense, brown shadow “Nastan Svart,” makes a beautiful eye liner, or use it for a chocolate smoky eye. Don’t forget to add your favorite FACE Stockholm Lash Lift Mascara.
The rest of the FACE Stockholm Spring face look is simple. A FACE Stockholm powder foundation for the season’s trendy matte look face, is the beginning. No blush is recommended, and you don’t want to overwhelm your face with color when you are working with such a bold eye look. But if you feel too pale, the hot pink shadow #24 that you’re using on your eye lids, can work if you use just a tiny bit and blend it well into a sheer flush. Lips are very matte, and the lipstick suggested is a warm caramel that could look very pale depending upon how pink your lips naturally appear. I’d layer a tinted gloss or another, deeper peach, apricot of deep nude shade on this, if the look is too nude for your taste. Or, use the new, Lauren Lip Liner in peachy-caramel first, to deepen the intensity of the lipstick. You might also just consider lining and filling in your lips with the Lauren Lip Liner, and adding some moist (not super-shiny or shimmery) gloss on top. Another look to try is the #24 eye shadow in hot pink dabbed on over the lipstick. You’ll end up with a pretty berry.
It helps to be young, beautiful like Sibel, and have plenty of Joie de Vivre to pull this happy Spring look together. You can go for the entire look as Sibel wears it, or just pick the parts you love. You’ll definitely find a few of these items are going to make your Spring 2013 makeup wardrobe, new and exciting. Don’t forget to pick them up, starting this month at any FACE Stockholm boutique, or online at http://www.facestockholm.com
