My wise grandmother used to say: “there’s a lid for every pot.” She was talking about finding someone to love, of course. And in NYC, the City of bright lights and possibilities, there are plenty of ways to fall in love. If Grandma had known about Ricky’s nail polish collection, she might have included RickyColor.
At just $6.50 per shade or $10.00 for two, you can have a rainbow of “lids” in a variety of formulas, to suit yourself and every mood you have. I tried six of these shades. Standouts are a creamy, bold red “Canal Street Knockoff” and a magnificent, metallic teal “Insufficient Funds.” For date night you can’t go wrong with the molten opaque silver “Bridge and Tunnel” or work a new trend and glitz up the tips (or all) of your nails with parti-colored glitter with “Off off Broadway.” There are blues and greens, pinks, peaches and berries in between in a colorful rainbow of colors in homage to NYC’s colorful lifestyles!
The polish is good quality. It applies smoothly and easily. For those who need to know, the products are also Formaldehyde free, Toluene Free, and DBP-Free). However, I like to use a base coat and certainly a Top Coat, to keep polish looking fresher, for longer. Ricky’s Bright Lights Big City Color Intensifying Top Coat is $9.00 and adds a high wattage shine, while it seals and protects your nail art and polish. It also made the glitter polish look and feel better. The top coat dries fast and is Frmaldehyde free. Toluene Free and DBP-Free. Distributed exclusively by Ricky’s NYC. If you are in a huffy New York Minute Speedy Top Coat ($9.00) will speed-dry without dulling shine. It is also Formaldehyde Free. Toluene-Free. DBP-Free and distributed exclusively by Ricky’s NYC.
