Real Women Don’t Walk (In Stilettos) They wear Aerosoles!
By Alison Blackman
In real life, stilettos for most people are carried in tote bags, or stashed under the desk at work.
We wear high heels in cars and taxis and only put them on for limited amounts of time (mostly when we know we can sit)!
Even if you don’t have foot issues, real women need shoes that let them walk in comfort. But we want shoes that are chic, too.
You can be wearing the prettiest outfit, with perfect hair and makeup, but if your feet hurt, you won’t look good!
So real women wear Aerosoles!
Comfortable Footwear That’s Fashionable Too:
Aerosoles are for walking on anywhere, even if the surface is uneven and hard on your feet or you’ll be standing for hours, but here’s the thing …. they’re stylish! ,
Most comfort footwear looks ok with casual clothing, but with dress clothes or trend fashion, they’re a fail.
When I wear Aerosoles people ask where I got the “cute shoes” and when I say “they’re Aerosoles” half of them don’t believe me!
Without Aerosoles I’d be in pain most of my active life and a lot of my social life as well –and I wanted to prove it!
3 Key Points of Comfort:
Aerosoles designed their shoes with three key items that help make them feel great on your feet.
Most of their styles feature one or more of their comfort features including Diamond Flex Soles with a unique diamond pattern designed to disperse friction away from the foot and keep you from slipping.
Many of the styles, even the dressier ones, have a Memory Foam Insole Comfort foam footbed and a padded insole that really soothe and pamper your feet so you feel more like you’re wearing slippers than shoes.
Aerosole’s Hell Rest Design shifts your weight away from the ball of your foot (that’s where a lot of the “pain” occurs with higher heels) and back towards your heel so you can walk with confidence and less pain.
Testing Aerosoles In Paris
I asked Aerosoles to send me some shoes from their Spring collection to test this out on the streets of Paris.
Paris is an old city, with some of the bumpiest, broken, most uneven streets I’ve ever encountered and it’s easy to feel “foot pain” or twist an ankle.
There’s a reason that French women are known for wearing ballet flats!
I received my shoe samples literally minutes before I left for France, dragged them all the way to Paris, and then couldn’t photograph them as planned (thanks canceled flights and bad weather)!
I did wear “Vital Sign” a perforated suede ankle boot while shopping on the Avenue des Champs-Elysees for hours, and I didn’t think about my feet even once until I got back “home.”
Testing Aerosoles in NYC!
Back home, I took my Aerosoles shoes out on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon to photograph them in historic Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO where tourists flock to these picturesque areas bus the busload.
The streets are as bumpy and unpredictable as those in Paris!
I wore pink tights to show off the shoes (maybe not the best fashion statement but it served a purpose).
Vital Sign – A Warm Weather Ankle Boot
I wear jeans a lot of the time, but I love ankle boots with skirts and casual dresses, too. The Vital Sign boot in black suede ($129) is perfect!
Vital Sign is also available in “Mink” (light beige) or”Dark Tan” (warm medium tan) in a medium width and runs true to size in sizes 5012.
Vital Sign is just such a a “cool girl” boot for warm weather, with perforated soft suede that lets you wear a boot when ti weather heats up, and a 2¾” chunky stacked raw leather heel that is slightly “cowgirl” without going all the way to “Wahoo!”
This walk-able boot is casual but appropriate with skirts and dresses too. It has all three of the Aerosoles comfort features: Heel Rest, Diamond Flex Soles, Memory Foam Insole. The zipper entry with dangling pull tassel makes it easy to get on an off. It comes in a medium width in sizes 5-12. .

Girl Talk Flats: Versatile and Glamorous
Flats can be basic, but Aerosole’s “Girl Talk” flats in faux suede ($79) are anything but boring! The trendy “bracelet” of gold straps keeps the flat secure on your foot and adds a bit of flash.
The shoe also is available in black (my choice) chartreuse, and dark pink in medium width sizes 5-12.
You can really see how delightfully padded the foam footbed on this pointed toe flat really is.When you are wearing flats, you can really get a back-ache if there isn’t any arch support but Girl Talk has plenty.
The diamond flex sole keeps you walking confidently no matter what terrain. The back zipper is a nice touch.
I walked all day in these Aerosoles flats. They go with everything from pants to shorts, skirts to dresses. Love them!
Charade: Sexy Sandals For Dancing All Night
We were setting up to take photos near the River Cafe, known for stellar views of the Manhattan skyline, but t area was swarming with people, so we quickly took this photo of the Aerosoles’ Charade sandals ($89) at the Brooklyn Bridge Ferry Dock next door.
The wooden planks look like they’d be easy to walk on, but it’s easy to catch a heel in them.
Dress sandals can look comfortable but then you put them on and something rubs, or the pitch of the heel is tiring. Charade is a sandal can go to a wedding reception, but it still feels more like a sneaker than a dress sandal.
I love the trendy fringe detail that makes this medium-heeled dress sandal, special. It’s also available in bone and black and equally cute in all the colors medium width sizes 5-12.
With all three of Aerosole’s comfort features: Diamond Flex Soles, Heel Rest, Memory Foam Insole. you really can dance all night or stand up at the wedding reception without resorting to kicking off your shoes before the night is over.
Slim straps and a mini buckle closure make it more elegant while a 2¼” covered heel makes Charade a graceful addition to dressier outfits. I wish I had Charade in every color!
