When the suan goes down, light on your outside table is a must, and light around your house, is comforting.
Which brings me to the Allsop glass Solar Drops that I think you’ll love whether you them outside, or in your home.
My mother collected art glass paperweights and I inherited them. I enjoy looking at the colors and delicate designs within each globe. Now, Allsop offers “art glass” Solar Drops that rivals these collectible paperweights in size and beauty, but, powered by sunlight all day, the add a bit of light (a small, white LED light) and a lot of glamour, wherever you place them in the dark and at night.
The Allsop glass solar drops are just $29.99 each — more than one looks amazing hanging from a tree. But even if you don’t have a tree anywhere near you, and the drop is meant to hang from something, it has a flat bottom so you can also leave it on a tabletop (or nightstand) to add a glow.

I was sent the one in Forest Green, the newest color. Depending upon the angle you view it, there are swirling colors around the top and some of the side, and the rest is clear, showcasing strands of bright green glass rising up from the bottom to look like a little tree. A coin cell battery powers the solar cell, and you even get a piece of jute twine to hang it (but use whatever you like).
I also like the fact that on the bottom there is an on/off switch so if you’re not going to use it for a while, you can save the battery. Leave it in the “on” position and the light will shine whenever it’s dark, assuming it’s been storing up sunlight by day. You can also get it in red/blue, yellow/Blue and Yellow Green.
These are a piece of art, and also ambiance lighting. It would make a great gift for a couple as a shower gift, While it really looks nice hanging up outside, the glow in a dark room is really pretty too. Enhance romance? sure thing!
