Westmore Double Feature Powder-Over Cream Blush w/ Brush ($39.00) is a better blush with a unique application.
You get a cream and a powder blush in one, but while you can use them separately, you are supposed to apply the cream first and then set it with the powder blush.
If you wish to use it, there’s a unique double-sided brush that helps you both brush and sculpt for a natural-looking finish, but we used our fingertips for the cream, a blush brush for the powder.
Available in nude pink and spotlight pink, the result is a natural looking blush with more dimension and staying power than most.

Make A Color Statement
Rituelle de Fille Forbidden Lipstick ($24) lets you really extend your self-expression from demure with some very avant-garde tones of green, gray, goldenrod.
Our re-centric samples were “Written in Blood” and “Love in Madness.”
“Written in Blood” looks like a bright red in the tube, but on lips it looks more “blood red” as though you dangerously ate something raw.
“Love in Madness” is a little more subdued but not really.
It’s a bold berried red but it is still very much a “look at me!” color.
Tip: Dark, matte lips shades magnify every bit of uneven or dry skin so exfoliate well and dab on a bit of lip balm before applying them.
Rituelle de Fille Ash and Ember Eye Soot ($38) in “Golden Age” offers a surprise!
It appears to be a loose powder, packed into a mini sized faceted jar, but it is solid — a hybrid between a powder and a cream.
Use these little pots of glamour as a liner, an eye shadow or a primer. There isn’t any wax to melt with the warmth of your skin, so they stay put much longer.
We found these quite resistant to creasing and fading but the opening of the jar suggests using a brush, not your fingertip to apply them. *Eye soot color is picked up and applied with vertical pressure, pressing rather than just swiping.
The shimmery, coppery tone of “Golden Age” is perfect for Summer into Fall. It’s a burnished coppery gold with a smoky undertone but do try some of the other sexy smoky colors, too.

However, if your lipstick tends to run, wear a lip primer and/or a lip liner, or be sure to blot.–a lot.
We tried “Activist,” a deep berried red that is universally gorgeous. “Thrill Seeker” lights up lips with a true red that makes lips look amazing.
You can’t see it in this photo but our samples arrived in shiny mauve-y metallic cases that made us feel chic and special.

Sometimes it’s the “little things” that can have a big impact.
