What’s Your Sign?
L’Oreal Paris model, Instagram makeup icon, and YouTuber Liza Lash just launched the Liza Lash Beauty Sphere. She claims it’s the world’s first skincare cleansing orb. It removes dirt, and oils while being personally calibrated to the user’s astrological orientation. The orbs are all unique with customized scents, benefits, and ingredients.
The Beauty Sphere looks like a balloon but it’s just the outer covering. It’s a unique, peaceful daily way to cleanse your skin. Lather with water and apply to your face. You can also use it on your body in the shower. It’s also nice to know that it works with every skin-type.
The Gemini Beauty Sphere:
My editorial sample was the Gemini Beauty Sphere. In the Gemini orb, you’ll find skin-loving benefits such as Tamarindus Indica seed gum (moisturizes, smoothes, improves elasticity & glow). There’s also Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, combined with negatively-charged microscopic particles of Platinum Powder (protects against free radicals). The sphere has a grapefruit aroma that supposedly helps to alleviate headaches, mental fatigue, and depression. Grapefruit scent can supposedly also mask the smells of aging.
Cute & Fun Cleansing Idea:
The Lisa Lash Beauty website tries to focus on connection and the deeply spiritual “think bout positive intentions” as well as beauty benefits. Maybe you’ll believe it, or maybe you won’t, but at least it’s a great hook to get you to buy a fairly expensive cleanser.
To use your beauty orb, you pierce the balloon “orb” with an included plastic toothpick. Discard the protective casing and lather the orb with water in your hands, then apply it to your face. If you wish you rub the orb on your face and use it in the shower to cleanse your body. It can last 1-3 months depending upon how much you use it.
The Bottom Line:
It’s trendy to tie a product to astrology. However, as editors discovered at the Zodica Fragrance launch before the Pandemic hit, just because you’re a Virgo, doesn’t mean you wouldn’t prefer Leo’s special scent, etc. In fact, editors at this event were trading scent to suit their noses, not their zodiac signs *note all the Zodica fragrances are pleasing, but each person has a preference. I personally think the beauty sphere is a really fun way to cleanse your face and body. My advice would be to check the fragrance notes and purchase the one with the scent you think you’d like to best.
And I just have to mention…..something that personally turns me off is when so-called “influencers” have no interest in their followers. On Instagram Lisa Lash has 460K followers but only follows a few people. On Lisa Lash Beauty, there is only 1 follower -Lisa Lash herself. Maybe the one-way connection just doesn’t bother her followers and I know it’s hard to connect with everyone. But ONE follower and it’s you? I’ll say no more.
Each astrological sign has its own Beauty Sphere ($44). It is $7 for the plastic lotus dish (pink, white or gray) to keep the spherical cleanser from rolling all over your sink. This will make a fun gift and you’ll want one, too. Get it at LizaLash.com
