Great Gift! Dreamy, Creamy Liqueur:
When the weather cools down a perfect pre or after-dinner beverage is one that’s fragrant, rich and creamy. Some of the most unique of these include the Appalachian Sippin’ Creams from Sugarlands Distilling Company.
These rum-based cream liqueurs that are tailor-made to sip over ice or add to coffee, or even use with other things to create drinks you’ll find nowhere else.
Sugarlands Distilling Company has over 20 different flavors of Moonshine and Sippin’ Creams ($25/each) packaged in mason jars (hillbilly-style with colorful labels).
These cream liqueurs are delicious but not overly sweet. They have the perfect balance of booze and creaminess.
We tried the Pumpkin Spice Latte Sippin’ Cream over ice. It has a hint of pumpkin flavor with ginger, cinnamon, and clove — perfect for the holidays, warm and creamy.
We also tried a holiday favorite: an Eggnog-flavored Sippin’ Cream featuring the flavors of churned cream, rum cinnamon, nutmeg.
This cream Liqueur launched in October. It’s creamy, great with a coffee drink. We drank our with a lot of ice, It would also be great with freshly ground nutmeg or in coffee drinks (check out the Capresso frother, below).
Both Pumpkin Spice Latte and Eggnog Sippin’ Creams are available in local retailers in 24 states and online via Caskers.com. If you happen to be in Gatlinburg Tennesee you can visit the distillery. For more information visit sugarlands.com
Great Gift! BIG Ice!
Everyone wants one of the “big guys!”
Traditional ice cubes melt too quickly and can water down your beverage The super-easy way to make the same designer ice cubes that you find in pricey bars and restaurants is with Zoku Ice Molds ($15/2).
These come in Cube, Round or Jacks shapes.
The BPA and phthalate free Zoku Ice Molds are insanely easy to use. For the round mold, just through the hole in the middle and freeze. For the cube, you fill the box and add the top.
When they’re frozen, just pop out the ice. I made a bunch of both shapes and put them in the ice cube tray so everyone at the party can have at least one.
These large ice cubes not only look super-cool, but they also melt slowly in your glass they don’t water down your drinks. Everyone loves these “big guys.”
Zoku has a lot of different designs. Thee are perfect for holiday parties or at home for enjoyment, and they really make a great gift.

Great Gift! Multi-Tasking Wine Aerator:
When you aerate a wine you add oxygen that can enhance the smell of the wine as well as the taste.
The new VinOstream from CorkPops is a 2-in-1 multitasker. It is both a wine aerator and dispenser that works in one press of the button. It’s so novel, we had to add our own video showing it at work.
We have reviewed wine aerators such as the Vinturi Spirit and the Soiree but we have never before seen an easy to use wine aeration system that fits into the wine bottle and dispenses aerated wine right into your glass.
The soft rubber stopper creates an airtight seal around most wine bottle tops. Just insert the included tube into the hole on the bottom of the stopper and insert the VinOstream into the bottle
Place one of the air cartridges into to top of the VinOstream. Put your glass under the VinOstream’s metal spout, Push down on the air cartridge, and watch as VinOsream dispenses your aerated wine directly into the glass.
If there’s a downside it’s that the air cartridges only really last for a few bottles of wine. I saw the air cartridges (a pack of 10 was around $31 on amazon).
The vinOstream itself is available at major retailers and is just $28 at www.CorkPops.com, nicely boxed with two air cartridges.
Try aerating a young red bold red with heavy tannins or older aged wines with sediment. Also, try it on heavier and more complex white wines.
We tried this at a dinner party and everyone wanted to use it. It is the wine gift of the season!
Great Gift! Tequila Shot Glasses:
We don’t think that there’s really a wrong way to drink tequila, but the classic is in a shot glass, The traditional salt and lime is fine.
However, if you really want fabulous tequila shots, serve thjem in these show-stopper Root7 Himalayan Salt Shot Glasses,
The hand-carved shot glasses are 100% natural from Himalayan natural pink rock salt.
Each glass has a unique coloration. And they’re not one-shot wonders. You can re-use them about 80 times (that’s a lot of tequila shots)!
After use, just rinse them in water and dry them thoroughly. You can store them in the included acacia wood serving board.
Another nice thing, especially for those who worry about germs, is that due to Himalayan Salt’s antibacterial qualities, germs cannot thrive and odors are also eliminated. P
One note of caution, if you linger over that tequila shot instead of slurping it down, the tequila will begin to dissolve the shot glass.
These are nicely boxed just ready for gifting. They are an affordable $25 for a set of 4 from Amazon or buy them directly on the Root 7 website
