Cailyn Cosmetics’ V11 Total Care Serum Says It’s a 1-Day Game Changer.
I took the Challenge, And Here’s What Happened:
By Alison Blackman
I encountered Cailyn Cosmetics a while back at a Beautypress Spotlight event, where I always find at least a few unique items or brands that I want to investigate further.
But Cailyn Cosmetics fell between the cracks in my queue, and I didn’t really get a chance to try the V11 Total Care Serum ($58) with 11% Vitamin C, (touted as being a “1-day game changer”) even though I had meant to review it.
I really had to take the challenge and see if it changed my skin in a day.
11 Key Ingredients
So what’s in it that could change my skincare for the better, forever?
There are not one or two, but 11 key ingredients (hence the “112” in V11) including a Nobel prize-winning ingredient called “Fullerene.
This supposedly shields and stabilizes pure Vitamin C. That’s important in this product because it has pure Vitamin C at an 11% strength to brighten skin.

A Moisturizing Vitamin peptide and proven Vitamins for antioxidant protection (e.g. Tocopherol, France Pinaster, Rosehip Fruit, Acai Berry) plus Green Tea and Lentinus Edodes (edible mushroom with medicinal benefits) for skin conditioning create a cocktail of good for your skin ingredients.
Packaging/Performance:
The Cailyn Cosmetics golden serum in a dropper tip bottle is not opaque, which we thought was unique (but since it is stabilized, it doesn’t need to be protected that way).
The serum purports to moisturize, brighten, reduce pores and help reduce the look of wrinkles. It’s good for sensitive skin (paraben, silicone and artificial colorant-free) and can be worn as a sort of primer under makeup to make it look smoother. Use it on your hair,
A plus is that it is good for sensitive skin (it’s paraben, silicone and artificial colorant-free) and can be worn as a sort of primer under makeup.
You can also use it on your hair, cuticles and body on those extra-dry areas. Nice! A multi-tasker!
Really, 3-5 drops swiped on face and neck is all you need, unless you’re going to also mix it with makeup items.
A Powerful Antioxidant
The main point of using Vitamin C is for antioxidant and anti-aging benefits.
According to Cailyn’s survey after 8 weeks with 32 testers, almost everyone saw good results.
No serum is going to rock my world, really, but I liked this serum, a lot.
I didn’t see amazing results in a day, but after one application on one side of my face, the treated side was softer, brighter, better.
Cailyn Cosmetics has color cosmetics as well, which I’d like to try.
