Goats are Cute, However, CANUS is Hydrating with Goat Milk

Goat milk provides beauty benefits in CANUS Skincare

Calming, Soothing, Hydrating Goat Milk Skincare:

I always knew that goats were cute. And goat cheese is delicious, But I didn’t know much about the benefits of goat milk in skincare until 2012 when I reviewed some products with goats milk in them. However, Canus Founder and President, André Beauregard knew all about the benefits of goat milk. Goat’s milk is widely recognized for having moisturizing fatty acids, vitamins A (retinol) and B3 (niacin), potassium, zinc, and selenium. All of this is good for your skin.

Mr. Beauregard sold a variety of products. He called his company CANUS since his products were sold in Canada and the United States. When a client requested goat’s milk for skin care products. he decided to create goat milk products himself. I really like the fact that Canus is dedicated to community and green practices.  This is all great…..but what about the products?

Canus Collections: Caprina, Nature and L’il Goat’s.

Goat milk is so soothing, and Canus offers every member of the family products made with goat milk. There are three collections: Caprina, Nature, and L’il Goats.
I am not reviewing Canus L’il Goat because advicesisters.com doesn’t review products for children. However, those products also use goats, gentle ingredients, and natural oils. I am delighted that I was able to try Both Canus Nature and Caprina bath and body products for adults. Both collections are very good. But there is a difference. Both are made with fresh goat’s milk and similar fragrances and products (Soap, Lotion, Body wash, and Bubble Bath). However, the Canus Nature line is made with 100% plant-based ingredients. The Caprina collection (e.g. the soap) has some animal fat so it’s not vegan.

Canus Nature:

My first test was with the Canus Nature Soothing Duo ($38.99). My editorial samples were in the shea butter formula. But there are also original and lavender-scented versions.

The Silky Body Wash is one of my new favorites. It has a flip-top lid on a recyclable plastic bottle. Of course, it is full of fresh goat milk body wash packed with fatty acids, vitamins A (retinol) and B (niacin), potassium, zinc, and selenium. It slides delicately on your skin and makes you feel like every day is a spa day.

The creamy body lotion is in a recyclable plastic pump bottle. The shea butter instantly moisturizes dry skin and absorbs quickly. The scent is lightly floral but won’t compete with your favorite fragrance. This product is so hydrating and pampering, I can’t get enough of it! s made with goat’s Milk and Shea Butter Its high concentration of emollients provides increased hydration and a silkier feel to the skin. Since I have sensitive skin, I love that the products have a preservative system that is non-irritating to the skin.

Canus Caprina:

In my photo above you will see two products from the original formula and two products featuring shea butter. Caprina Body Milk and Bubble Bath are packaged in cream and purple bottles. These have shea butter. The ones with cream and red bottles are the original formula. The products with shea butter have a lovely light floral fragrance. The original formula smells slightly spicy, maybe with a touch of anise (it might be eucalyptus).

The recyclable plastic bottles are generously sized. I like the fact that they have pump tops or flip tops. The exception is the generously-size (27.1 fl. oz.) Shea Butter Bubble Bath that has a screw top. The Canus Caprina products are available in Eucalyptus Mint • Lavender Oil •
Orchid Flower Extract • Original Formula • Shea Butter. However, the Body Wash has a fragrance-free choice too. There are bar soaps which I love. The products have no phosphates or parabens and they are free of dyes and colorants. Of course, being goat-friendly, they are not tested on animals!
