What is Clean Beauty:
The term clean beauty has been tossed around for a while, but what does it really mean? It doesn’t just mean washing you face!
To break down the meaning of clean beauty to its core, it is about ingredient safety. That is also the focus of Dime Beauty!
However, clean beauty doesn’t necessarily mean that synthetic ingredients can’t be included. ALso, not every all-natural ingredient is appropriate to be called clean beauty. The focus is on eliminating ingredients that could be harmful or cause irritation to create products that are deemed safe.
FYI not all products deemed all-natural are appropriate to be called clean beauty.

Dime Beauty was created by Baylee and Ryan Relf. They do know a thing or do about the beauty business. Baylee is a licensed esthetician and Ryan is a former beauty and skincare product development, specialist.
Notable is that these clean beauty products cost less than $40 each, although obviously, not just a dime. However, you can also get “bundles” featuring collections with duplicates of products you like, for less. There is also a way to subscribe and save.
Packaging/Ingredients?Disclosure:
I like the fact that Dime Beauty shared not just the superstar ingredients, but everything in the products. However, the “superstar” ingredients are specifically mentioned.
This information is really important to help you decide if you want to use this product on your skin or not. However, of course, being clean beauty, they are free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates. Dime Beauty is also cruelty-free.
The brown bottles look non-gender specific. Dime Beauty features clean beauty ingredients – sustainable ingredients and biodegradable packaging. Even the outer carton is biodegradable.

The Products:
Dime Beauty’s products include cleansers, oils, serums and moisturizers., plus color cosmetics. I tried three skincare items: Gentle Jelly Cleanser ($24) Hyaluronic Acid Serum, and an anti-aging Moisturizer.
The Cleanser:
The Gentle Jelly Cleanser in a pump bottle cleaners thoroughly without too much foam, or fuss.
A blend of detoxifying and skin-soothing ingredients including soothing and cleansing Coconut & Vitamin E, plus Strawberry and Lycopene to fight free radicals.
The Serum:
A good example of clean beauty is Dime Beauty’s 100% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum ($28/ 1 oz.), I liked the way it absorbed quickly and smoothed my skin.
You’ll find a dropper top in a glass bottle. The serum looks thick, and while Dime Beauty suggests 3-4 drops I think you really only need 2-3 drops unless your skin is super dry.
This serum is made with the purest form of water-soluble Hyaluronic Acid to provide your skin with lasting hydration. Therefore, it continuously hydrates the skin’s surface and locks in moisture.
Hyaluronic acid serums can be very pricey, this one is good quality and a great price.
The Moisturizer:
The Dewy Day Cream($34) is also in a pump bottle. I liked it well enough. A bonus is that it’s vegan and all the ingredients are green-rated at 1 on EWG.
Soothing Chamomile Extract and Squalene (over time) diminishes wrinkles, eliminates scars, and deals with pigmentation. It also fights free radicals.
Also, Squalane is a great skin moisturizer. As a natural emollient, it locks moisture into your skin. This helps to help prevent fine lines, and ease dry patches.
The Bottom Line:
There’s a lot to like about Dime Beauty, although nothing really costs anything near a dime. However, the cleanser worked well and was pleasant to use. I liked the serum which made my skin feel instantly soft and hydrated. The moisturizer absorbed quickly without making me wait to apply sunblock and foundation.
I wished that Dime Beauty would add at least one product with mineral SPF! But the products are clean beauty goodness personified.
If you’re seeking clean beauty and reasonable prices, Dime Beauty could be well…priceless! I hope to try some of the cosmetics in the future, so stay tuned for another review.
