CO2Lift by Lumisque is a carboxytherapy treatment facial mask that can plump the skin, and reduce to hard to deal with puffy under-eyes and dark circles.
To get results, this kind of treatment traditionally uses injections that infuse gaseous carbon dioxide below the skin into the subcutaneous tissue through a needle. Lumisque makes it possible to get some of the same results with a topical mask no needles.
CO2Lift works by enabling proper penetration of carbon-dioxide through the epidermal layer of your skin, naturally stimulating the creation of oxygen molecules in your body, which are then delivered directly to the skin on your face and neck.
How It Works:
Introducing carbon-dioxide into your bloodstream produces vasodilation which should help to increase the metabolism efficiency of your cells and improve the discharge of waste from your skin. When this happens it also reduces the inflammation that can cause acne, dryness, and water-retention and increased oxygen can also help to improve skin radiance.
The Process:
It’s not a one step process, but not hard to do. Plan for an hour for your at-home treatment. Video Instructions are here
1. Empty entire contents of large pack (base) and small pack (activator) into a small mixing bowl/cup.
2. Mix thoroughly for 1 minute.
3. Apply immediately to your face and neck with small spatula/application stick, starting under the eyes right up to the lash line, include the lips, and end with the eyelids. Make sure application layer is not thin.
4. Relax with mask on the face for 45 to 60 minutes.
5. Peel off and rinse with water if needed.
6. You can follow with your regular skin regimen.
The Bottom Line:
We love spa-style treatments you can easily do in the privacy and convenience of your home but is it better or the same as Botox? We don’t think any topical product will penetrate deeply enough to take the place of fillers, botox, or laser treatments.
Still, while the results are not as dramatic as more invasive procedures, we found we had smoother, brighter, better-looking skin. You can also CO2Lift on eyelids, face, hands, and neck so it’s a multi-tasker.
For an at-home treatment, it’s a treat.
