Summer hair requires extra thought, and sometimes, a nifty, new tool to make the style, special. Conair’s newest hair appliances have some ways to make hair styles, easier to manage, whether you’re looking for curls, volume, or a super-sleek style.
For me, a persistent problem is lack of volume. Sure, you can pump volume up with styling products, but they can eventually work against you, weighing hair down and making it feel greasy and flat. The Summer heat can already do that without any additional help, so you need another way to make volume, happen.
Luckily, there’s another, new way to get volume into your hair: the Infiniti Pro by Conair™ Volume Boost 1875-Watt AC Motor 2-in-1 Styling Tool (srp. $39.99).
This dryer is not only has 1875 watts, but the heavyweight in the casing is the powerful AC Motor, favored by professional stylists. If you’re wondering why an AC motor, it’s because this motor provides more powerful air velocity for faster drying and up to a 3X longer life span (as compared to typical — DC motor– consumer hair dryers).
…and that’s not all, the dryer has an innovative volumizing attachment that directs air flow and lifts your hair for fullness and volume. A lot of graduated, tiny “fingers” reside within a clear cap that attaches to the dryer, to give even resistant hair a fuller look. The dryer also has ionic ceramic technology that controls frizz and helps your hair to look healthy and shiny. Additional features include easy to access rocker switches for three heat settings and two speeds, and a cold shot button (it takes a moment or two for the “cold” to occur, but it does provide a good cold shot), and a removable filter to prevent lint build-up and further extend the life of the motor.
There is a lot to like on this pretty, plum-colored dryer. It took me a while to get used to the attachment, but a little experimentation produced impressive “oomph” to my hair when I wanted it. If you don’t want to use the volume boost attachment, just remove it, but I kept it on even when I was using a round brush and drying/smoothing the ends where I didn’t much care for volume. My hair dried impressively fast and smooth, with and without the attachment. There is a standard concentrator nozzle included, although mine didn’t have it. One thing I didn’t agree with (although it is printed right on the box) is that the dryer is lightweight. Perhaps, compared to a truly professional dryer, it is a feather, but it was heavier than many other comparable dryers, in my hand. A small matter, because my hair really did dry faster with this dryer than usual, cutting fatigue.
For this price, or any money, this Conair Infiniti Pro Volume Boost dryer is a great choice. Even super-celebrity hair stylist Jonathan Antin likes the Conair Infiniti Pro AC morot hair dryers. His photo is right on the box!
