Coobie bras are your must-have when you just can’t stand the thought of anything on your body that pinches, pokes or restricts you. Part bra, part cami, part fashion accessory, these one-piece wonders support where they need to, cover when you want them to, but have no metal hook & eye clasps, wires, or anything else that can make you uncomfortable. When the weather heats up and your skin gets sticky and your body swells, the traditional bra that felt “ok” when you put in on in the morning in your air-conditioned home, can poke and bind, and make you miserable, and it is going to be hours before you can remove it.

There’s a Coobie for just about everyone: Big, Small, Pregnant, Breastfeeding, Augmentation, Pre or Post Surgery. Coobie’s Spring line features six seamless One Size 32A-36D style that stretch to fit almost every body. Their full size line ranges from 38-42D.

The Advice Sisters tried a few of the Coobie Spring line which includes: Scoopneck, V-Neck with lace trim, Strapless bandeau, Lace bandeau, plus a Comfort bra and a Sports bra (we didn’t try the sports bra but judging from the photos, they’d be fine for low to medium impact sports). Made of 88% nylon/12% spandex, the Coobie bra can be worn in place of a cami or tank. You can even sleep in it. Coobie has also introduced a line of pregnancy and nursing bras that they say can also be used for augmentation surgery. New colors include: Spearmint, White/Black Polka Dots, new tie-dye blends, and stripes. However, you can get the Coobie in more traditional colors too. We wear tested Coobie in several different styles, including a white Coobie with a lace back, a hot pink Coobie Lace Coverage Bra ($22.00), a mint green Coobie Bra V-neck Lace Trim ($22.00), and a smooth, plain Coobie Scoopneck ($20.00) in seafoam green. The basic style is the same: a one-piece, one size fits all bra with thin adjustable straps and reasonably padded cups for both modesty and support. You simply slip the Coobie bra over your head, adjust the straps if you need to, and that’s it! Unless you are seriously stretching the bra to it’s limits, the soft elastic band holding the Coobie in place will stay there perfectly, without bunching, rolling or sliding. Some blouses and dresses need the shape and support of a traditional bras, but the Coobies are so comfortable, we realized we were reaching for our Coobies whenever we could. And when we travel, Coobie is a must. They pack flat, and are multi-tasking travel wonders. They won’t set off the alarms at security. They won’t feel uncomfortable when you’re sitting on a plane, train, bus or car for hours and hours. But at home, they’re great to wear under sheer clothing, and for all those days when you just want to feel comfortable or pick something colorful and fun under your clothing.

Since Coobie bras are, for the most part, smooth styles, you can wear them under virtually everything. If there’s a downside, it’s that these bras offer minimal shaping, offering more of a sports bra styling than a traditional underwire bra would. Also, the colors and prints are tons of fun, but obviously you need to pick the colors that go with your outfit. The lace cami style however, makes a great contrasting statement under a sheer top.
