Cool Cleansers!
Although I’m not traveling much these days, I have found some really great products from Payot that are eco-friendly and can pack nearly flat. Check out the 3 new Mini Nourishing Cleansing care pouches from Payot! They have Multi Flower honey extract and Botanical Cotton Oil. Guess what? They’re only $8!
These are multi-tasking cleansers that use micellar technology in a creamy balm formula to nourish, and totally cleanse your skin. When you open the re-sealable pouch and add water, you get a foaming lather in three lovely subtle scents: Wild Rose – Sparkling Bergamot – Fresh Grass
Using these makes me feel like I’m in a fancy spa or luxury hotel. Ok, I do like the sparkling Bergamot to wake me up a bit, but the fresh grass makes me feel peaceful, and the wild rose is subtle but romantic.
There are no GMOs, toxins, parabens, and these are not tested on animals. So chic and so French. Merci Payot. I don’t mind that I’m not packing a bag to jet off somewhere. These cleansers are so luxurious I feel as though I’ve been to a luxury spa, even though I’m just using them at home! For more information visit https://us.payot.com/.
Cool Beauty – Fragrance With Benefits
I love a sensual fragrance that speaks somewhat softly and doesn’t overwhelm me (or anyone near me). The Fragrance With Benefits Rollerball ($45) in “Egide” is for those who want something sensual, and unique. and while I don’t believe that fragrance has a gender, this one really is gender-neutral. It will change with your personal chemistry to be your signature.
Égide Eau De Parfum ($105 50ml bottle) or Roller ($45.00) is Fragrance With Benefits’ latest, and the key notes are sandalwood, ylang-ylang, frankincense, neroli and cistus. These essential oils as not only lovely to wear, but they help ensure calm for the wearer. Fragrance with Benefits uses only the finest essential oils, and never tests on animals. All their fragrances are made in the US and of course, they’re not tested on animals.
More to Love:
There is more to the brand than just this awesome fragrance and good-quality essential oils.
Fragrance with Benefits NoMo Eau Fraiche $85 (Fresh Water) is an uplifting gender-neutral scent with Florida orange, Sicilian lemon, and French lavender. While it is a nice gender-neutral fragrance, it actually has not her benefit: it repels insects thanks to peppermint, geranium, and cedarwood. Of course, you can just wear it because it smells great, but if you spray it generously on your exposed feet, legs, arms, and re-apply it every 2 hours, you may find less itching and more people-attraction! NoMo Eau Fraiche ($85 100ml bottle), Shower Gel ($30.00), Body Cream ($50.00), or Travel Set ($65.00)
Both fragrances are different and unique. The packaging is minimalist with simple glass bottles and labels. I personally love sensual fragrances but I have to say, the mosquito-repelling NoMo is so cool, I almost dare the pesky insects to bite me! “Personalized” Skincare:
MixX Laboratory has a minimalist approach to skincare that’s clean and the products each contain a star/key ingredient that might be the one you are looking for. Personalization is trending in skincare along with clean beauty and MixX says that they check the boxes. The products are free of alcohol, fragrances, artificial pigments, parabens, essential oils, or unrefined petroleum. The ingredients can be used alone or mixed together for multiple benefits.
The products have proven ingredients but it’s the personalization that I have an issue with. As I see it, instead of following a rigid routine for anti-aging or other skin issues, consumers can pick and choose what they think will be best based on the star/single ingredient they think will work best. Fortunately, the products are basically good for all skin types so you can’t go too far wrong.
Testing!
I tried two products, the Bifda Ferment 3% Repairing Essence from the “Repairing series” and the Idebenone 1% Antioxidant Essence from the “anti-aging” series. FYI, Idebenone is an antioxidant and helps neutralize certain types of free radicals.
My issue really is with the lack of guidance for consumers being offered and not the quality of the products. I’m not really sure this is the best way to select skincare as there is no assistance or questions to answer to help you choose. In addition, the ingredients are listed, but most people really won’t’ know what they are or what they do. For example, other than “water” (the first thing listed on the Anti-Aging Series Essence) I saw: hydroxyethylurea, lysate of the fermentation product of difission yeast, betai-ne, xylitol, fructooligosaccharide, glycerin, fermentation product of lactic acid bacteria, dipotass-ium glycyrrhizinate, hydroxyethyl cellulose, 1,2-Hexanediol, p-hydroxyacetophenone, dipropylene glycol, octyl glycol,Isoprene glycol, disodium EDTA.
I’m not trying to be negative, but if you want to be able to pick and choose skincare on your own, you can do that with almost any brand offering a wide range of skincare for different issues. However, the products that contain powerful and proven ingredients that might really help your skin. But I don’t see this as truly personalized to your skin other than you’re doing the choosing (or guessing at what you need). get 20% off your first orderFor more information visit https://www.mixxlab.com/
