India Hicks, Crabtree & Evelyn’s creative partner, is a designer, author, and international fashion model. She is also a goddaughter than none other than Prince Charles. Working with Crabtree & Evelyn, India was inspired by her idyllic tropical surroundings (she lives on an island in the Bahamas–how romantic is that?!) to create her Island Living and Island Night fragrance collections.

…and while we’re on the subject of pampering little luxuries that make every day a little more like “paradise,” a new favorite for a little splurge (at $7.20 per beautifully wrapped or boxes soap), is Crabtree & Evelyn’s Heritage Soap, Avocado & Olive Oil Milled Soap. Eight different soap types provide a rich botanical heritage presented as single wrapped triple-milled soaps made in Vermont exclusively for Crabtree & Evelyn, and single boxed glycerin soaps handcrafted in Switzerland by 3rd generation soapmakers. Each triple-milled process takes 30 steps to create each bar, but the soap is worth it, with luxe lather and a fragrance that lasts the lifetime of the soap. The Avocado & Olive Oil Milled Soap is 5.58 oz. It has a vegetable base, enriched with skin-conditioning shea butter and coconut and evening primrose oils which hydrates, soothes and softens skin, without stripping it. The clean smelling fragrance will appeal to men as well as women, featuring olive leaf and fruity-scented olive blossom, balanced by light musk and accented with green Mediterranean herbs. True, it’s just a soap, but it is such a lovely little thing. When times are tough, a beautifully packaged soap that smells uplifting and pretty, can adjust your attitude!

Sneak Peek: Golden Topaz and Noel Holiday Collections:
I know the Summer has just ended, but before you know it, the holidays will be here. For retailers, this is already holiday time. So I’ve got a sneak peek of Crabtree & Evelyn’s two amazing, holiday collections: Golden Topaz, and Noel. You can see from the photos that there are opulently packaged, and inside, there’s a round, glass votive with a beautiful, decorative overlay, in rusty orange (for Golden Topaz) and green (for Noel) that are truly a worthy “a gift of the Magi.” I admit I go for the psice, and Golden Topaz ( as the name and the look, implies) has a warm and spicy blend of clementine, frankincense and myrrh. Spicy scents can sometimes overpower you, but Golden Topaz has just enough spice to be warm and intoxicating, and not so much it feels like it belongs in a temple. There will be products for bath and body, as well as home scent. Indulge someone with one or all of these as a great holiday gift, or just treat yourself to a little splurge! Noel is a special, 25th anniversary edition, also beautifully packaged products, infusing your life and home with a gorgeous, spicy medley of balsam, mulling spices, cranberry and orange. You will feel festive the minute you smell it.
