Can You Stop Craving By Wearing A Lip Gloss? Maybe!

March 28, 2018 By: Alison Blackman

“You’re going to crave water, not junk food” is a powerful claim by a new, all-natural, food-craving-reducing lip treatment called Kiss Your Cravings Goodbye.

kiss your cravings goodbye li gloss No Sin Cinnamon, Clean Lip Moisturizer was developed by Novare Beauty.   It’s a moisturizing lip gloss/balm you unscrew from a slim tube and apply with a sponge-tipped wand.  But that’s not really why it’s unique.

Kiss Your Cravings Goodbye is made with a proprietary blend of essential oils, rare plant extracts conditioning ingredients including Cinnamon, White Tea, Peppermint, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Lemon Balm and Sunflower Oil.

Once you apply it to your lips, your cravings for food will disappear (or at least be reduced) within 10 minutes.

Scent Plus Action:

Smell is a powerful sense that can attract or repel.  If you’ve ever smelled cookies hot out of the oven, or a freshly baked pie, you know what I mean.

Years ago, at a weekend hosted for online editors by Total Beauty, I met a physician who developed a powder you sprinkled on all your food to reduce cravings.

The powder shaker had a sweet side or salt powder which you used depending on what you were eating.  Honestly, it was disappointing.

This lip gloss offers an action (repeatedly applying the lip gloss when cravings strike) plus a strong cinnamon scent.

Theoretically, as you use it the lip gloss hydrates your lips, freshens your breath and makes you thirsty redirecting your impulse to water instead of junk food. Also, the scent of cinnamon might make you avoid salty or sugary foods because they really don’t go so well together.

Does KYCG Really Work?

Scent can definitely help change your mood. Lavender, for example, is known for being a relaxing scent. Pumpkin pie is an aphrodisiac. The smell of a skunk could make you nauseated.

Reading all sorts of studies on scent & cravings, some say that a cinnamon scent can help you lose weight. Others say it actually increases your cravings.

Some claim the scent of cinnamon can remind you of the holidays and bring joy (or not, depending on how you feel about holidays).

Obviously, It’s Complicated

As an editor and reviewer, I know my personal experiences with a product might not be representative of anyone else’s. The opinions I’m expressing here are mine alone.

I used Kiss Your Cravings Goodbye for a few days but it didn’t make me thirsty (as claimed).  While I don’t have that many cravings,  and the lip gloss didn’t seem to impact my eating habits,

However, what does work for some is substituting one action for another to reduce a craving or addiction. It’s why some smokers reach for gum instead of a cigarette when they’re trying to quit smoking.

Although the lip gloss didn’t change my eating patterns, I liked the all natural lip gloss and I did start using it...a lot!

A cinnamon scent, natural ingredients are nice,  and my lips felt hydrated and smooth –so –a win!

Kiss Your Cravings Goodbye is available for $24.95 on Amazon local retailers and on   http://www.kissyourcravingsgoodbye.com/
