These cosmetics for face and hair will help you DAZZLE at midnight
Essence of A Party
If you want to add trends to your color wardrobe, check out Essence Cosmetics.
They’re a guilt-free way to check out something new, and still get a quality product at a fraction of the cost of many other brands.
Metallic makeup is so on-trend. Check out The Metals Eye Shadow by Essence ($3.99/each) .
Generously sized pans of shimmery eye shadows with a serious metallic finish look brilliant on every skin tone.
There are 9 Shades: 01 Glam, 01 Frozen Toffee, 03 Chocolate Frosting, 04 Deep Sea Shimmer, 05 Silver Twinkle, 06 Rose Razzle Dazzle, 07 Vanilla Brilliance, 08 08 Rockin’ Glamour, and 09 Patina Glow.
These shadows are so soft and silky you can apply them with a fingertip, but no matter how you apply them you’ll get that “heavy metal” eye look!
You can get Essence Cosmetics at Target and Ulta among other places or visit https://essencemakeup.com/
Be a Bombshell
One of the things you want from a super-shimmer shadow is the knowledge that the product won’t fade, crack or quit before the party’s over.
Covergirl Bombshell ShineShadow by Lashblast (approx $5-$8) is a super shimmer cream in a tube that can last for up to 12 hours.
Smooth some of this shimmery cream shadow onto bare lids or over your favorite shadow.
My sample in “Ice Queen” looks white in the tube, but it left a starry coat of glittery gleaming glamour on my lids.
I love the way this looks!
Apparently, other people love it too because some of the colors are sold out online…so hurry to snag yours!
Frame the sparkle with CoverGirl Lasblast Fusion Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara ($7-$8) featuring a fiber-stretch formula and oversized brush.
Two coats offered lush and impressive looking lashes — no small feat since mine are light and thin.
Wear Bombshell SshineShadow and CoverGirl mascara and all eyes will be on your eyes!
Get CoverGirl online and in drugstore and Mass Market retailers, or visit the CoverGirl Website.
Glow With Murumuru:
Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Highlighter (Srp. $10.95) is creamy shimmery to illuminate your skin in 4 natural light to deep shades.
FYI: Murumuru Butter is naturally glossy and locks in moisture to protect your skin, too.
Even if your skin is kind of dry or dull, a highlighter like this one can add allure in seconds.
My sample in “Pink/Rose” slid on like…butter for that slightly pink glow I wanted, thanks to ultra-refined pearls and soft-focus pigments.
It’s also Hypoallergenic, Paraben-Free, Gluten Free, Dermatologist Approved, Clinically Tested and Cruelty-Free.
For so many reasons this is one product to use all Winter long.

Beauty from Paris:
Among the makeup offerings, it’s the mascara (approx. $12/each) seems to be the big thing. So I tried three (limited editions):
“Jalouse” is touted as the one to “drive men crazy.” In my test, the thick duplex wand lifted and separated each lash really well.
“Femme Fatale” has a tapered wand with a fine-tip wand that colors every single lash even though it didn’t add much volume.
“Cabaret Premiere” is waterproof and it has a plastic wand and a black mascara that kept my lashes looking full and flirty.
The shiny packaging and inexpensive price tag make these a real beauty “find.” Visit: https://viviennesabo.com/us/
Try TIGI!
While TIGI is known for hair care, their color cosmetics are a happy surprise!
For example, the TIGI High-Density Setting Powder ($38) is an oil-free, mattifying loose translucent powder in a shaker jar.
On bare skin, a dusting blurs minor lines and the size of pores. But over foundation, it keeps your makeup from becoming shiny or sticky.
it feels a bit drying (like cornstarch) but it works. If you’re going out and wearing foundation and possibly perspiring, or under stress, yes, you need it!
I also really liked the aptly-named Luxe Lash Mascara ($24) in black.
It features heart-shaped fibers that lock onto lashes to create lashes that look curled.
I was dubious but I tried TIGI and Luxe Lash and then I believed!
My lashes were long and thick!
The mascara also contains nourishing Panthenol (Vitamin B) in a non-clumping, long-wearing formula.
But it’s the elegant shiny silver case that makes me want to use this one over some of the others.

New, Sinfully Exciting
SinfulColors is launching an exciting new collection of color cosmetics! Actress Vanessa Hudgens is their Global Color Collaborator.
The products will be available in early 2018 on Amazon, in early 2018, featuring light-reflecting and metallic face and eye product with a range of mascara, highlighter sticks, and cream shadow duos.
The big news is that they are insanely affordable!
The Face Forward All Over Highlighter Stick ($6) is good for strobing or for an all-over glow in a blend-able cream to powder formula. The swivel up stick is great for travel or a makeup bag.
My sample in Rose Glow is a metallic rose gold that added feminine (not trashy) shimmer.
Longwear and intense “heavy metal” shimmer are yours with the dual-ended Shady Babe Cream Eye Shadow ($7).
I tried “alluring” (2nd from the left) pairing light Lilac and Blue/gray iridescent cream shadows that made my eyelids gleam.
I also like the way they blend easily, but once dry they’re not going anywhere!
The Diva Lash Mascara ($6) is lots of fun especially when you just crave something more than basic black.
My sample was “Lashing Out,” a deep burgundy” that had plenty of color payoff.
The mascara didn’t really volumize but it lifted and separated lashes so much that I looked like I had twice the amount.
You’ll also want to check out the Stop & Stare Gel Eyeliner($5.99) and Bold Brow Intense Effects ($7) with more products to follow.

Colorful Holiday Hair:
I’ve often considered adding a colored stripe (or more) to my hair, but I don’t crave committing to it until it grows out.
But I have no wish to rock a unicorn look or colored stripes way past party time. If that describes you as well, try Clairol Color Crave ($10.99).
This product gives you immediate trendy metallic color, infused with micro-crystals in a washable formula just made for celebrating!
There’s a fun color for every hair color, even if your hair is very dark: Amethyst • Brilliant Ruby • Shimmering Platinum • Shimmering Rose Gold • Shimmering Copper • Shimmering Bronze.
To use simply swipe a stripe of hair with the sponge applicator and “dry” with a hairdryer. It’s that easy!
There’s no ammonia, peroxide or parabens to wreck your hair, and when you’re ready to say goodbye to the shimmery color, simply jump in the shower.
The color will be removed as shampoo breaks apart the polymer film. Truly, this is a cool product!
Color Crave Hair Makeup is available at mass market retailers — for more information visit Clairol.com or call: 1-800-Clairol.
Hair Kandy!
Goody Goody Gumdrops! OGX has a sexy way to scent your hair with the Kandee Johnson Holiday Collection ($7.99/each piece) which includes a shampoo and conditioner.
There are three of these special scents: sparkling cider, candy gumdrop and sparkling sugar cookie
I tried the Sparkling Cider — men in particular, seem to notice and move closer for a subtle “sniff.” Just saying!
Snag these fun, affordable scented goodies at Ulta, Walmart, and Walgreens.clairol, @VivienneSabo #NewYearsEve. #glamcosmetics, #dazzle
