Dolce & Gabbana The Foundation is Truly Splurge-Worthy! Dolce & Gabbana The Make Up, is as the press literature describes it: “a visionary translation of two decades of straight-from-the-runway colour reinterpreted into a colour cosmetic collection that transcends time, tradition, and trends. ” When it comes to finding the perfect face product, foundations can be tricky. However, Dolce & Gabbana’s new, amazing, Perfect Luminous Liquid Foundation is exactly what it says it is: a liquid foundation that covers but is still luminous, and amazingly, perfect.
The elgant pump bottle arrives in a shiny black outer carton embossed with classy (and classic) gold metallic lettering. The inside of the carton glows in gold metallic. Inside, there’s a clear glass pump flacon with a shiny gold top and pump diffuser in gold, simple and clean, and devoid of any additional decoration except for the Dolce & Gabbana name on the top of the cap, and slender gold metallic lettering on the front of the glass flacon announcing the product’s name.
Pump out a pea-sized amount of this amazing foundation, and start to smooth it on your skin. Whether your choice of application tool is a brush, sponge, or your own fingertips, you’ll find that the liquid flows, like silken gold, and smooths onto skin flawlessly without a fight. And then, you look in the mirror and see, almost with a bit of a thrill, that your skin, no matter how tired or blotchy, looks flawless and silken, too! Dewy, but not overly so, opaque, but not mask like. It’s nearly, magic.
For Dolce & Gabbana. gold also represents the light of Sicily, and the warm southern sun that casts its honeyed glow on the skin. “Look how gorgeous a woman looks when the light shines on gold, reflecting on her skin and making her appear radiant and lit from within,” say Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. So too, this new Perfect Luminous Liquid Foundation brings a golden radiance to your skin, thanks to illuminating particles of light-reflective mica together with fine translucent pigments. Even dry skin looks healthy, smooth, hydrated. And it will be, thanks to a special blend of moisturising agents and conditioning vitamins that give skin hydration with an instantly natural glow you can see. Yet, it’s lightweight. You can almost not feel it on your skin. You can make it sheer, or build it up, depending upon how much coverage you want. But no matter how you apply it, and how much you use, your skin will still look like it was worked on by a pro makeup artist.

If you are wondering what shade will suit you best, it’s best to try it on in person. I received Perfect Luminous Liquid Foundation 144 Bronze, and had to look at the box and the bottle twice to be sure I got the right thing, because “Bronze” is really more of a medium warm beige than what I’d normally call a bronze. It didn’t make my skin look orange or rust, brown or sun-kissed, it was just a perfect shade of beige that neutralized a lot of the red and blotchiness in my skin. If I’d just relied on the names of the foundation, and didn’t see it in person, I might have overlooked this shade due to the name, but on my fair skin, it looked perfect. So my advice is don’t rely just on the names. It’s best to try, before you buy!
