The first time I tried Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan was for The advicesisters What Works Beauty, Review in 2007. The fragrance was originally created in 1994. This floral woody musky scent was created by Nicholas Calderone from IFF. He’s done some other fragrances you might recognize such as Lauren for Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, and Lauder for men (among others).
Donna Karan Cashmere Mist is a classic, inspired by the luxurious feel of cashmere on bare skin. The top note is Bergamot; the middle notes are Suede, Jasmine, and Lily-of-the-Valley; and the base notes are Cashmere Wood, Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla, and Amber. This floral, woodsy, musky fragrance is one of the scents that go so well with luxury fabrics such as cashmere (no wonder), silk, velvet, and fine linen.
Now, Aluminum-Free for Your Under-Arms:
Why am I so excited about a luxury deodorant? Well, it’s because recently, Donna Karan New York added an aluminum and alcohol-free deodorant to the Cashmere Mist body collection, It has the same beautiful scent as the other products in the line. However, for anyone with sensitive skin, it’s great news!
And, it is also hydrating and offers up to 12 hours of non-irritating, non-allergenic long-lasting odor protection. I loved it from the minute I swiped on for my first test. I since I have sensitive skin, I really appreciated that it was aluminum and alcohol-free.
