In my last e.l.f. feature a couple of days ago, I literally gushed about the amazing products and super-affordable prices of e.l.f. (Eyes, Lips, Face) Makeup. But tools and beauty helpers aren’t the only thing the e.l.f. does so very well. They have palokett–all sorts of palettes and face in a case kits. There’s nothing I like better than makeup palettes of all sizes. They are the adult version of that big box of crayons we loved as children, and just as much fun to play with. But palettes also make sense for those who aren’t quite sure what their style is, and who want someone to coordinate colors, and the small ones are so amazingly perfect for travel. Here are some stand-outs that The Advice Sisters can’t live without!!!!
One that is already my travel companion, and that you just have to love, is the Makeup Clutch ($15.00) with a whopping 32 different eye shades from neutral to black, greens and glue, to pink and purple. The shadows come in different intensities and some are matte, some are slightly shimmery, and a few have more shimmer. Try them all and see how they look, on you. There are also three dual-tipped sponge mini applicators nestles right into the palette, along with a big mirror. Although I prefer to use brushes, if you’re traveling and don’t want to pack something extra, you can make do with the mini applicators. But that’s not all that is packed into the wallet sized face in a case kit. There are two big and intense squares of powder blush in pink and peach, a medium dark bronzer (use a light touch if you’re very fair skinned), a small pan of a creamy and pearly face shimmer that adds subtle highlights. There is also an eyebrow powder in a medium brown (too dark for blondes, but ok for everyone else) and an eyebrow cream that is, inexplicably, very dark (use sparingly unless your brows are dark). Then there are also six different mini pans of lip gloss in pinks, berry, red, peach and clear (but they are all so sheer they’re virtually no color). No applicators are included for this slide-out tray, so actually, you have to bring brushes or use cotton balls or your fingertips. But for a kit that has all this in the size of an evening clutch, and for just $15.00 it’s a major must have.
The e.l.f. Studio 47-piece Beauty Clutch looks pretty much like the black Makeup Clutch, but the eye shadow are different tones. The colors are a bit brighter and a bit less subdued, with fun greens, blues, pinks and purples. This set is also a slimline clutch with 32 Eyeshadow Colors, 6 Lip Colors, 2 Blushes 1 Bronzer, 1 Eyebrow Powder, 1 Eyebrow Cream, 1 Face Shimmer, 3 Dual Ended Eyeshadow Applicators. The surprise is that it too, is just a mere $15.00!!!!
Moving up in size but still incredibly affordable is the e.l.f. Master Makeup Collection. e.l.f. has even larger palettes, but I selected this one because it is just $35.00 and makes an awesome gift for your weekend hostess, for a birthday, or a bride to be. Considering the fact that it is a 141-piece set, it’s compact, too. Closed is is just 10.75″ x 5.25″ x 1.4″ and open it expands to 24.5″ x 6.5″ x 1.4″ . The white mirrored kit comes with 84 Eyeshadow Shades, 36 Lip Gloss Shades, 6 Blush Shades, 4 Concealer Shades, 4 Shimmer Cream Shades, 4 Bronzer Shades, 1 Face Brush, 1 Lip Brush, and 1 Duo Eyeshadow Applicator. Yes, it is BIG, and even the mini applicators are larger than the usual, mini-sized making it easier to apply all the colors. The photo above really is the best way to show what’s in the set, but I wanted to say that the lip glosses and lipsticks in this set have more color, so you don’t have to tote a lipstick as well as a gloss. And there are four bronzers from light to deep. While most people won’t be using all of them, it’s nice to know they are available, in case you want to mix a few to fill in a missed spot from your last tanning session (faux, I hope). The blushes range from a deep tan (could also be a bronzer or contour for deeper toned skin) but there’s a bright pink, and several neutral peach tones to flatter just about everyone. The gel liners are great too, ranging from basic black, grey, taupe and brown, to plum, turquoise gold and even a highlighting, white. There is just about no limit to what you can do with this palette. It’s a major WOW! And when you’re finished playing, the entire kit folds up to about the size of a SoundDock.
I didn’t review the collection above, personally, but I’m just including a photo of the ultimate makeup collection from e.l.f. that is in limited quantity, because if you REALLY love makeup like The Advice Sisters, this would be the treat of the year. It was originally $95.00 and now it is just $65.00. Some foundations and lipsticks on the high end cost more than this!!! You get a set of three e.l.f. top-rated Studio Makeup Palettes: the 27-Piece Mini, the 83-Piece Essential, and the 141-Piece Master for over 250 pieces of makeup joy! If you want to really make me smile, send it over to ME!!!!
