The “little things” that we use every day, are the things that we most often take for granted. But they’re also often the very things that help us feel better and look better. That’s definitely true of beauty tools. Your tried and trusted “workhorses” may look beaten up, faded, a bit broken, or almost non-functional, and you might not even notice until or unless they break or are lost. But beauty tools should give you pleasure, as well as service.
In August, I had the chance to review something quite lovely and but also practical. In this case, it was an Ed Hardy Hair Dryer.
As I said in that review of this amazing dryer, while you should select your beauty tools based on how well they will perform, you also should consider the intrinsic pleasure of having something that is pretty to look at, and pleasant to use. I was absolutely smitten with the Ed Hardy Vintage Collage hair tools!
A few weeks later, I learned that IGP Beauty and Ed Hardy had launched more beauty tools: an Ed Hardy Hair Care Collection. IGP Beauty has created brands for over 20 years, for the lumimaries of the hairstyling world — celebrity hairstylists like Ken Paves and Kimberly Kimble. The “Vintage Collage Accessory Line” includes Ed Hardy Brushes, Combs and Paddles in a few of Ed Hardy’s most famous and coveted, designs. The products are really lovely to look at, but you’ll get more than just an “ornament.” These are pro-style hair tools that really work. And the best surprise of all is that they are actually, really affordable!
I personally tried just one of these wonderful hair tools, the “True to My Love Large Paddle Brush.” The Ed Hardy True To My Love Large Paddle Brush works for all hair types. It has a smooth, but not slippery, handle for easy gripping, and while it has boar bristles to grip and hold every strand, and add shine, there are also ball-tipped nylon round tip bristles to help detangle your hair and keep the strands, straight while you blow dry and style. This awesome paddle brush even comes with a cute, cardboard cutout hang tag of the Ed Hardy rose. The big surprise? It is just $15.00 for this beautiful, pro-style, must-have brush!
I didn’t try the other brushes personally, but they are worthy of your consideration, so I’m adding a few comments about Each. The Ed Hardy Koi Fish Styling Brush features heat resistant nylon bristles to brush through even the thickest of hair and easily detangle it. The back features the Koi tattoo designs of Don Ed Hardy. It is just gorgeous! The koi is my favorite Ed Hardy design because it is so elegant. And, this brush is just $15.00, too. You really would expect to pay much more!
Love Eternal Medium Paddle: The Ed Hardy Eternal Love Paddle Brush is a smaller version of the large paddle brush I tried. It is also just $15.00
Rose Teasing Brush: The Ed Hardy Rose Teasing Brush boasts 3 tight rows of nylon boar bristles and a four-inch sectioning tail for separating & sectioning hair — just $10.00
Rose Comb: Perfect for detangling or combing in treatment products and good for detangling both wet or dry hair. This lovely comb has smoothly tapered teeth and rounded tips. If your hair is medium to long, it’s a must have for just $7.00
Rose Comb (Small Tooth): The Ed Hardy Rose Detangling Comb features the rose tattoo designs of Don Ed Hardy. At just $7.00 it is s steal!
What Jersey Girl could truly accomplish “big hair” without a teasing comb? I am sure “snookie” would swoon if she saw the “True to My Love Teasing Comb.” This teaser adds volume and lift, featuring a small-tooth teasing comb including styling pick end. Get your hair to new heights with a beautiful comb, for just $7.00!
If you’ve ever used a brush with a sawed-down handle so it would fit in your bag,you have got to get the Vintage Collage Pop Up Brush. This gorgeous, brush folds to fit into your purse–it even has a mirror! I wish I had this one! It is just $8.00
