Tinted Moisturizers are good multi-taskers. They offer some skin protection, along with some skin enhancing and skin nourshing benefits all in one easy product, Even if you don’t normally wear makeup, a tinted moisturizer can offer you the natural look you like, with all of the other goodies. While I love the idea of tinted moisturizers, I have found that many are either too emollient, or the tint doesn’t do anything to enhance the look of natural skin. But Elizabeth Arden has developed one I really like: Pure Finish Mineral Tinted Moisturizer SPF15 $30.00. The tint is light and natural, but it helps to even out my complexion. It comes in four shades and has lots of skin benefits. For starters, it is infused with micro-light minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. The microlight minerals soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles. That’s bonus number one. But it also has antioxidants and Vitamins A, C and E to moisturize and provide antioxidant protection. Dionysis Extract is an extract of the Sea Campion Plant that is shown to slow the effects of free radicals, too. Squalane, botanically derived from olives, helps to make skin feel moist, while Jojoba esters, derived from the desert plant, acts as a barrier for water loss, keeping moisture in the skin. Sodium Hyaluronate also moisturizes very beautifully. This product is oil free, talc free and fragrance free and has SPF 15 protection against the sun’s damaging rays. Now that’s, a WOW! I tried “Fair 01” and it was fairly light, but since tinted moisturizers are so sheer you can make just about any color work with your skin.
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cream Blush $24.00 is a perfect compliment to a natural, glowing complexion. The creamy blush feels slick on your hand, but the oil-free formula literally melts into your skin with a super-sheer formula, making your face come alive, in a subtle way. There are four shades, but “Pink” is my favorite. This universally flattering medium pink will literally, put the blush you want on your cheeks. Luxuriously creamy and soft, Ceramide Plump Perfect Cream Blush glides on easily and blends evenly. Anti-aging Skin benefits include Elizabeth Arden’s Ceramide Triple Complex and Vitamins A, C and E to create the ideal glow while providing anti-aging benefits for your skin. While the formula has good wear -ability, your skin will feel soft and moist, never dry. Honestly, it is one of the first cream blushes I keep reaching for, again and again…it’s that good!
What’s a new season with a great, new lipstick? Complete your Summer look with an elegant, Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect Lipstick $21.50. I love the chic packaging –a frosted, gold plastic tube with a shiny, thin, angular, gold “wedding ring” marrying the cap to the base. and the Elizabeth Arden “door” logo, in gold, perched at the top of the cap. and the myriad of colors. But this isn’t just any old lipstick to color your pout. This one is lip plumping and moisturizing. It contains “Maxi-Lip” to help pump up the volume and reduce the appearance of vertical lines on lips, It also has Elizabeth Arden’s Ceramide Triple Complex to protect, retexturize, soothe and strengthen. Vitamins A, C and E provide anti-oxidant protection and exotic Tahitian Gardenia extract soothes and hydrates lips — Can your regular lipstick do that?! There are plenty of colors to choose from, but ” #27 Perfect Amethyst” is a moistly-matte pink with just a hint of mauve, that works for most complexions to heighten natural lip color without being overly “done.”
