There are a couple of super-luxury skincare brands all vying for your dollars, and also to be the most expensive in the world. A four-week treatment of Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Cure Face Treatment is $1,550.00. La Prairie Cellular Cream Platinum Rare is $950 per ounce! There are plenty more in the same price range. Not everyone can afford essential skincare items like this. You don’t have to. Remove the pretty packaging and some very exotic ingredients and you can still get some affordable, essential skincare. One brand that I’ve just discovered is Eclat. Virtually everything I am suggesting is just $10 or under. Eclat Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum for Face ($9), There are a lot of anti Aging Facial Serums on the market. However, a serum is an essential skincare item. Eclat’s hyaluronic acid serum has 2.5% Organic hyaluronic acid with vitamins C & E, Suitable for All Skin Types. According to Eclat, most hyaluronic acid serum for skin contains concentrations of 4%+. However, higher amounts are not suitable for sensitive skin. Higher amounts can also actually cause irritation and loss of moisture. The serum may have a lower amount of Hyaluronic acid but is combines high, low, and encapsulated HA in its purest form. This makes it more efficient to provide anti-aging benefits without irritating the skin. The serum also has antioxidant Chinese ginseng and green tea among other things.
Eclat has a major essential skincare most of us need: Collagen Anti Aging Face Cream(SRP $12.50 now $9) is really a night cream. It is sensitive skin friendly without fragrance, parabens, or silicones. There are some power ingredients such as a Patented Matrixyl-3000 & Argireline with a Pep-Boost Peptide Complex + 10 Antioxidants.
I can’t verify this, but Eclat says their jar is a UV-resistant FrostProtect jar that preserves the potency of the night cream for up to 63% longer. The minute you open a jar of cream (especially if you stick your fingers into it) it starts to degrade and perhaps become contaminated. So If the packaging really does help preserve it, that is a huge plus. I still would have liked an included applicator.
One thing I didn’t love was that Eclat claims the ingredients of Matrixyl 3000 and Argireline are “‘natural botox” to offer rapid wrinkle repair. You can’t compare an injectable such as Botox to something topical that you are just smoothing on your skin to be absorbed. However, if you use a cream for several months regularly, you can see some smoothing and perhaps, reduced wrinkles. No cream or potion I know of will give you instant wrinkle reduction.
That said, Eclat says that the Pep-Boost complex delivers encapsulated molecules slowly to the dermis, providing anti-aging benefits for up to 12+ HOURS after application. I am not a scientist and I can’t quantify this. However, I can say that the cream has nourishing and proven ingredients along with the other things I’ve mentioned, including Vitamin C, plant-based hyaluronic acid, collagen, and 6 antioxidants (including organic green tea and jojoba oil)
A great buy at $10 is the Eclat Skincare Patented Activated Bamboo Charcoal Face Mask $10). It’s essential skincare if you have oily skin, blackheads, and moderate acne. The cucumber-scented facial mask is Silicone Free, Sulfate Free, and Aluminum Free. You can use it as a charcoal peel-off face mask or use it as a wash-off exfoliator. A blend of 4 clays help to clear skin and eliminate blackheads and other impurities. The clays are a combination of bentonite, kaolin, Moroccan lava clay & montmorillonite. It clears the skin but it’s still gentle. Snow lotus, dong quai ginseng, and ginger extract help make this mask work as a fabulous pore minimizer/acne-fighting mask.
