Fraxel is a way to literally resurface your skin with a minimal amount of downtime. I had my second treatment two weeks ago, and figure it’s time to give you an update. It is the weekend and I don’t have a camera with me as I’m typing this, so I’ll have to post a before and after photo, later on.
The first week after the second Fraxel treatment, I was prepared for my skin to look red and flaky, with some breakouts. It wasn’t really that bad, but I felt like people were wondering if I had a skin disease, so I started nearly every conversation with: “I have just had a Fraxel treatment and I don’t have a skin disease.” that got pretty tiring, but within five days, the redness and flaking pretty much had stopped. Within a few more days, the bad skin clouds parted, and my skin began to look positively radiant. Now, two weeks later, it is smoother, softer, more even toned, and brighter. It really looks good!!!!
Fine lines and wrinkles are fading, as are crows feet and some of the smaller lines around my lips. This is seriously amazing! I can see how one could easily get hooked on procedures like Fraxel. It works, and works fast and well. While nothing is going to make my skin look the way it did when I was 20, I am feeling more confident about how it looks. When you feel confident you look even better!
I will post photos so you can see for yourself how this is progressing. I will be visiting Dr. Gervaise Gerstner’s office after Fashion Week for another Fraxel laser treatment, this time, to help deal with brown spots and freckles.
More to follow!
