Maybelline is an official sponsor of Fashion Week. They have a lounge where weary media types and guests can sit-a-spell and network or Tweet, or blog. Each day, Maybelline is also giving out different items from their latest *and I think, greatest makeup collection ever. The day I shot this photo they were giving out the amazing, Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascaras. I couldn’t believe how many people came back and “pretended” they needed another and the excuses they offered! It was pretty funny!
The axiom: “You can never be too rich or too thin” has been attributed to plenty of socialites and fashionistas, including Dorothy Parker, Joan Rivers, Rose Kennedy, and Diana Vreeland, to name a few. But Chambord is an official sponsor of Fashion Week and to fatten us up, they are offering raspberry truffles and a chocolate fountain that you can smell from the check-in desk on the left hand side of the tents. I managed to avoid the fountain the first time, but by the end of fashion week, I think I’ll be tempted.
These ladies are selling attractive “To Haiti With Love” tee shirts ($25.00) to support relief efforts in Haiti. QVC will donate the net proceeds from the sale of the Fashion for Haiti T-shirts to the Council of Fashion Designers of America Foundation to benefit the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. You can get your tee right at the tents, or on QVC.
