Most women won’t go out in public without their go-to, must-have, beauty product. For some, it’s mascara, others, lipstick, and just about every product you can think of, in-between. But not everyone is a makeup expert. For those who are really clueless, or who just want to know more about how makeup can best be applied, there are a rainbow of kits, charts and sets, that can help them “paint by the numbers.
Apparently, celebrities need help with makeup, too! Fairweather Faces’ color-coded makeup system was designed with them in mind (it was included in the Emmy Gift Bag), but we can use these, too, at home and on the road. The Fairweather Faces mini kits come with three multi-functional brushes that are color coded with rhinestones to match corresponding dots on the chart. Using these dots as ar road map, you can supposedly learn exactly which brush to use and where, applying foundation, blush and eye shadow. The supposed benefit to all of this is that the brushes make it easy because you only need three brushes.
The Fairweather Faces web site sells a variety of face chart animated cardboard charts but most people clueless enough to need help might do better with a video or illustrated step-by-step “how-to.” The brushes are nice for travel or makeup bag, and the charts are helpful, but it’s pricey for what Fairweather Faces is offering. It’s minis without the meat.” But you might disagree. Check out the Fairweather Faces Web Site: http://www.fairweatherfaces.com and see if it works, for you. I’ve been advised that charts start at just $5.00, which seems like a good deal, but most of the ones I saw seemed to be higher at $20-$25.00. There’s also a chart for teens that is $15.00, The Mini Brush Set with classic face chart is $29.99.
