Acqua di Parma has a line for men and one for women. Something new and nifty is the Acqua di Parma Colonia Powder Soap. Colonia is a fresh citrus that, to me, incorporates the tartness of orange rind with the softness of florals, and light woods. What’s cool about the soap is that it is made of pulverized soap and softening talc powder, plus rice starch, to keep hands feeling clean, fresh and silky smooth. The Colonia Powder Soap 120gr/4oz will retail for $36.00 (At select Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Barneys stores). I wish it was available now during the heat ofr Summer, but you’ll have to wait until October to get it. . Also new is Colonia Essenza (available now at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys, and Sephora.com). This is a woody citrus, and to be honest, I only smelled it at the preview event and can’t quite remember what it reminded me of. But it has some of the notes of the original Colonia fragrance: citrus, aromatic and floral notes, and sensual woods.

I’m a big fan of Pucci Fragrances. To me, they are just “happy” scents that make real sense when you are looking for something that smells modern and playful. But the word “Miss” In Emilio Pucci’s latest fragrance hints at the audience, as the new, Miss Pucci, is targeted to a younger audience. The Pucci girl is envisioned as youthful and flirtatious, but still beautiful and sophisticated. She is full of energy and excitement. and femininity. The sparkling floral and musky fragrance arrives in an astounding, modern-meets-vintage bottle. It catches the light as it you’re looking through a stained glass window. The actual scent is composed by Francois Demachy, Christine Nagel, and Benoit Lopouza, and it embodies Miss Pucci’s playful spirit. If you want it, you probably can get it right now for $89 (75ml), $74 (50ml), and $53 (30ml) at Sephora, Sephora.com, and Pucci boutiques

I’ve always been intrigued with the packaging for Flower by Kenzo. This designer fragrance is a classic floral, but it is now packaged in an eco-friendly refillable bottle. You simply unscrew the pump top, and open an eco-friendly pouch to refill your flacon. The 100ml plastic pouch retails for $78 (that is still about 15% less than the cost o buying a totally new bottle). The bottles sell for $56 (30ml), $72 (50ml), and $92 (100ml) . I’ve been enjoying Flower by Kenzo at lot the last few weeks because it has been so hot, and the fragrance has a soft, almost powdery vibe that feels fresh, even if you are wilting in the heat!
