Like “raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, ” here are some of my favorite things under $50 that can really make a big impact!

A Favorite Lipstick!
Kohl is an exotic beautifier that was created when the ancients ground up charcoal to make eyes smolder.
Dior has taken this idea and turned it into a limited edition, ultra-pigmented, matte powder formula lipstick: Diorific Rouge Khol Lipstick ($38) which can be found at Sephora.
The lip khôl has a classic pointed khol shape that makes it easy to apply the color precisely. The creamy wax formula (containing plant-based butter) makes for a silky, smooth application.
It’s one of my new favorite things because the super-high amount of pigment is also really long lasting without drying out your lips (we tested)…and then there’s that gorgeous, status-y gold lipstick case!
The bold shades, inspired by precious stones includes a raspberry red, shimmering brown, rosewood, and coral.
Our editors sample in #751 Intense Garnet is a clear, bright red that is universally flattering –it’s the one I keep reaching for every single day.
Get these Diorific Kohl lipsticks at Sephora and Sephora.com while they last (which might not be very long since they’re show-stoppers and a great gift idea).
Travelers’ Treats
Skin dries out, especially in Winter. That’s why I like this G.M. Collin Marine Collagen Revitalizing Mist ($40) . It is a joy!
It’s an anti-aging mist (key ingredient is Filmexel) that protects the skin from environmental saboteurs such as pollution. But it also helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Shake it, then spray 3-4 times on your skin and watch this paraben-free mist even help your foundation to last longer.
The mist is suitable for all skin types and especially dry, dehydrated and fatigued skin. You’ll see instant pampering for your skin!
This is so pampering for travel and for those times when your skin really needs a boost. Find this in a variety of online retailers, but for more information Visit the G.M. Collin Website!
L’Occitane Luxury Travel Treasures ($42) is one of my new favorite things because it contains so many favorite things from L’Occitane’s various collections!
These travel-size favorites are perfect for those who don’t want to use just any old thing stocked in the hotel room. But it also gives you or them a chance to try a lot of popular L’Occitane products at once (then you can purchase the larger sizes when you fall in love with the travel sized items).
There is a cute, bright yellow, zippered pouch to carry all or just the ones you want.
Products include Almond Shower Oil 1.1 fl.oz. , Almond Milk Concentrate Net Wt. 0.7 oz., (review of L’Occitane almond milk products) Shea Butter Hand Cream 0.3 oz. (review of L’Occitane hand creams), Shea Butter Foot Cream 0.3 oz., Verbena Shower Gel 1 fl.oz., Verbena Body Lotion 1 fl.oz., (review of L’Occitane Verbena products) Aromachologie Repairing Shampoo 1.1 fl.oz., Aromachologie Repairing Conditioner 1.1 fl. oz.
Some of our very favorite things are L’Occitane gift sets.
Advicesisters.com has reviewed lots of L’Occitane products over the years ad the products still delight us. To find more L’Occitane reviews type “L’Occitane” into our search box.

K-Beauty Booty
I’ve become a bit obsessed with K-beauty products. But not all companies produce miracle workers like Belief.
BELIF is a K-beauty company with some amazing skincare products. Last holiday season one of our favorite things was the BELIF Don’t be Flaky Gift Set .
One of my favorite things for this holiday is the BELIF Holly Jolly Hydration Set ($38/ $62 value).
Inside the cute box is a 1.68 oz/ 50 mL The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb; – 0.33 oz/ 10 mL Hungarian Water Essence; and – 0.17 oz/ 5 mL Moisturizing Eye Bomb
The big star this skincare (it is one of my favorite things) is the uber-popular in Korea (and now, in the USA) 1.68 oz.The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb with lady’s mantle. That is a super moisturizing extract use in medieval Europe which in this product, supposedly will hydrate up to 26 hours.
I also love the fast-absorbing and smoothing Hungarian Water Essence (made with Hungarian water and 10 different herbs including Rosemary and Gotu Kola).
Those who are into eye creams will like the Eye Bomb. It has cupacu seed butter, macadamia nut oil and meadowfoam seed oil, among others.
This is a really nice set gives you (or them) a chance to try some of these BELIF products.
They’re dermatologist-tested without mineral oil, petrolatum, synthetic preservatives, dyes, fragrances, and animal origin ingredients. Visit Sephora or sephora.com or the Belif website
Favorite For Eyes
Rouge Bunny Rouge is quickly becoming one of my favorite things (see the Rouge Bunny Rouge Lip Potion & Blush reviews) .
Their theme is inspired by Victorian England, an enchanted garden and the bunny, a totem animal and the products are beautiful and perform beautifully.
The transfer-proof, super lightweight Pristine Light Corrective Eye Primer ($40) is a new must-have to keep color on lids true and to keep eyes from looking tired.
Twist open the squeeze tube with a large sponge tip (love this). Apply a single coat of Light Corrective Eye Primer over bare lids, from the lash line blending upward towards the center part of the lid.
There are also soothing actives as well as ingredients that help illuminate your eye area (dot below the eye) including Pansy Extract (healing and deeply hydrating), plus a natural concentration of hyaluronic acid, and Witch Hazel Water. There is no fragrance or alcohol to irritate your skin.
The hint of tint (“Bare” suits most light to medium complexions).
Soft Jojoba Wax, plus other antioxidative and soothing actives including Cornflower Water, Panthenol, and Vitamin E, as well as the skin-conditioning Spilanthes Acmella Flower extract, make dark circles fade away.
Well worth the extra $$ for a concealer that really works! For more information visit: https://us.rougebunnyrouge.com/
