In February advicesisters.com discovered Florasis Cosmetics. This is a makeup brand that stunned us with its innovative products, intricately carved, and gorgeous packaging. Therefore, Now I’m suggesting some of the other products I tried and loved. Florasis has a target audience of discerning fashionistas who want great products that look as good on the outside as they do on the wearer. Read More….

from left to right clockwise: Eastern Romance Cloisonne edition eye shadow palette,
The Eastern Romance Eyeshadow Palette (Cloisonné Edition) is $35. There are two different ones. Our sample was the Autumn Wilderness. There is also “Violet Voile.” It’s remarkable and not just for the incredible compact with an interior mirror and dual-ended mini-brush that looks like a special jewel box. The four shadows are peary and creamy. I have had eye issues and haven’t worn eyeshadow for a while.
The products have pearl powder and calendula to light up your lids and nourish them. They also don’t contain talc. On a purely personal note, I haven’t been wearing eyeshadow for a couple of months due to some eye issues. But when I tested this palette, the products didn’t bother my eyes and looked amazing, sliding like silk. And it lasted, too!
The four colors have an intuitive placement. I loved the dark brown shadow as a shadow liner that can be applied with the thin end of the mini brush.
Love This Stunning Lock Lock Lipstick!
For lips, you’ve got to see the closeups of the intricate carvings on the Love Lock Lipsticks we reviewed in February, We received another one —Blooming Rouge Love Lock Lipstick (Impression of Dai) $49. There are two versions. I am showing you a stock photo closeup so you can see the amazing design both on the lipstick, bullet, and compact.
The Impression of Dai is peacock oriented. So the carton features a metallic box that looked like peacock feathers with a golden jewel in the middle. Inside, the shiny embossed lipstick compacts are completely covered with peacock featured design and a detachable lobster claw clasp tassel with green gem and tiny golden beads. The lipstick is engraved with miniature patterns of peacocks, one of the cultural symbols of the Dai people of China.
Love You Always:
The one in the photo is the one we received. It’s a toasty natural with a hint of mauve called “Love You Always.” There is also a warm red called “Just Love You.” My taupe-y lipstick was mostly matte, however, the formula is enriched with Vitamin E to pamper your lips. Floral and plant essences traditionally used by the Dai people, including Dendrobium nobile and lotus flower are in these as well/
Peacocks Rule the Roost:
For lovers of liquid lipstick there is also an Impressions of Dai product. It’s the Blooming Rouge Long-Lasting Liquid Lipstick (Impression of Dai) Prestige Edition, Light Matte Finish $29.00. Inside the metallic green and gold case with an ornate jewel collar is a lipstick with a slanted and pointed sponge-tipped applicator. It is so ergonomically designed that I was able to apply this without a mirror. For me, that’s quite a big deal.
There are eight browned colors all warm and earthy from deep to medium light. The lipstick stays put but if you blot it the color is a glorious lip stain that will last for hours. Ours was M219 a deep warm apricot. Another thing I like about Florasis is that they show the swatch and also the colors of the product to an actual person.
Beautiful Multi-Tasker:
There are a lot of products that Florasis has for the face. Unfortunately for me, it appears that the majority of skin tones are focused on the Asian market. However, one face product I can get behind is the Yurong Light Veil Smooth SPF 50 Primer – Sun Protection Dual Protection, Oil-Free $39.00.
The green pump bottle with a rose gold accent is encased as if it was something very precious, in a fluted acrylic jacket. The product is a 3-in-1 multi-tasking primer, sunscreen SPF 50+, makeup base, and nourishing cream.
Good SPF!
My main interest is the SPF50+ and PA+++, resistant to UVA/UVB. The sunscreen agent adopts both physical and chemical methods to provide protection. It has a very light floral scent and is invisible and non-sticky. There are 20% moisturizing and nourishing ingredients plus safflower and Matricaria chamomilla to reduce sun damage. Since the information on the packaging is in Chinese, it’s difficult to know how much Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (Octinoxate) and Zinc Oxide are in the actives. But as SPF 50+ it is likely a fair amount. But I did like this as a pampering multi-tasker.
Skin That Glows Like a Rose:
I forgot to include the Dual Blossom Glow-Up Highlighter ($39) in my group product photo. But here it is. in my hand. This highlighter is available in 01 Dancing Beauty (Champagne Gold) for a more natural look, and 02 Chasing Fireflies (Peach Gold). My photo shows the Chasing Fireflies. I really had to test it because it is just so pretty in the compact. But makeup like this is meant to be worn! The silky powder definitely lends a glow, so don’t overdo it. But it’s gorgeous, isn’t it?
Each compact comes with a highlighter brush. Florasis has a bunch of beautiful makeup brushes. The one in my top photo is the Soft Blooming Highlighter Brush ($17). This highlighter brush tapers to a soft point to put highlight where you want it, The synthetic bristles are luxurious and the green wooden handle feels secure in your hands. A rose gold ferrule holds the bristles.
