Not long ago Actually, it was the blog post of July 10th) I reviewed a unique set of fragrances from a unique, French fragrance company: Crazylibellule and the Poppies . They feature solid perfume called: “CrazySticks.” However, there’s nothing really “crazy” about them! In fact, they’re sensible for travel, and economical and practical. These 0.17 oz. solid fragrances, beautifully packaged (in eco-friendly, colorful, cardboard tubes), are also paraben free, alcohol free and contain no artificial coloring. Read my initial review with all the details. And there’s exciting news about this company. They have just launched a new scent called “26 June, île d’Yeu:
As the press literature describes the story: “To the background of Bach’s English Suites the ocean calls, gently pulled by a thread of light. Nothing disturbs the silence, except the olfactive recklessness of fruit and leaves combined. Surprised, bewildered and moved to be in contact with the skin. This crazystick cologne is a folly of perfume.”
Well, that’s a romantic description, isn’t it? I can’t break that down for you, but I can tell you that the scent is a light, refreshing one, with a hint of fruit and the sheerest of flowers, and that won’t overwhelm you. While some of the other scents in this line are smoky, exotic and sexy, this one is right for Summer, and later on when you want to wear a little something, but nothing too obvious.
The key notes are a sheer blend of orange, plum, bush peach flesh and rose of May. The result is an enticing, feminine, but not overly girly fragrance that is universally flattering to all skin types. The solid stick is clear, and melts directly into your skin. As in the photo, the packaging is a gorgeous tube of black and bright little flowers as if strewn on a garden path, on a white background. There’s also a matching outer carton. You won’t be able to resist!
