We missed writing about fragrance on National Fragrance Day (March 31st). My Bad. However, When the weather starts to warm up, it’s time to rethink your beauty routines in two words: lighten up! I don’t mean just your skincare, but also your fragrances. That exotic and intense fragrance you love when you’re wearing wool, might not smell as great when you’re perspiring. In this advicesisters.com story, I’m suggesting a fabulous new fragrance from Ferragamo and also one of my favorite Tocca fragrances. Which one will you choose as your new warm-weather fragrance?
Spring for this New Fragrance by Ferragamo:
Recently advicesisters.com did a story on lovely fragrances with beautiful bottles. One that we didn’t get in time for that story is Signorina Libera by Salvatore Ferragamo. )$122 3.4 fl. oz.), t is a flanker to Signorina from 2012. You will notice the impressive chunk of rectangular glass that’s common to all the scents in the Signorina fragrance collection. For Signorina Libera, it’s the golden juice that takes center stage inside the glass. There is also a cute double “bow” of light and dark yellow gross-grain ribbon. A big shiny round rose gold ball sits atop the spray diffuser adding to the fun.
I’m excited about Signorina Libera. This new fragrance was just launched this year in 2023. Signorina Libera, roughly translated, means “free miss.” That to me means a young and spirited woman who isn’t afraid to do what she pleases. The nose behind this fragrance is Jérôme Epinette. He has over 176 perfumes to his credit with fragrances indy to industry.
The Story:
For Signorina Libera, we are told that it is: “A sensation of energy and radiance, an invitation to all women to express their unique personalities and follow their paths. Beyond any fear and prejudice, embracing the empowering values of joy and togetherness. An energetic juicy and spicy top to express that initial intrigue, while the heart brings depth and allure from the rich orris, rose, and addicting pink sugar. A musky bold back adds a bit of sensuality, but a true signature to ensure she stands out from the crowd.” It’s a little over the top to describe it that way, so I’ll just make my own description below:
The Notes:
Signorina Libera begins with Pear and Calabrian Bergamo. The heart is Orris, Rose, and candy accents of Pink Sugar. When it comes to Signorina Libera I was surprised that the notes in the base include Ambroxan, Cashmeran, and Sugar. The initial sense of the fragrance reminds me more of pomegranate, than pear and bergamot. That takes a while to blow off but the fruits still linger into the heart and the base. It’s a happy fragrance that just makes me think “SPRING!” This also makes a nice gift idea or a perfect bridal scent. It’s $122 for a 3.4 oz. bottle.
