Jennifer Lindsey, the founder of Inspired Wraps, knows a thing or two about gift-giving! Lindsey has been curating unique gift-wrapping supplies and giftable items on her online shop for years, in addition to offering custom wraups.com, she shares her top tips for jazzing up your gifts! We hope you enjoy these simple ideas to upgrade your gift wrap and add some excitement to your packages, all year long.
Reusable Boxes
I love when the gift wrap is beautiful and functional enough to be a gift itself! Finding a box that can be reused and cherished adds value to your gift. Here, we added a soap pouch as padding within the box, so every gift element is functional and reusable!
Furoshiki
Furoshiki is a Japanese method of wrapping gifts using cloth that is earth-friendly and stunningly beautiful! Impress your friends and family by wrapping small gifts in bandanas and scarves which the giftee can keep once the gift has been unwrapped.
Cut-Out Favor Boxes
Cut-out boxes bring subtle flair to your wrapping with minimal effort! I recommend personalizing them further by writing notes and tying them onto the boxes with some simple colored string or fun ribbon.
Delightful Containers
Mugs, cups, and bowls of all kinds make great vessels for the garden, spa, and culinary gifts. Here, I filled an enamel butterfly mug with kraft crinkle-cut paper to support a lavender honey pot, lavender tea, and a honey stirrer. To wrap, I surrounded the whole package with a sheet of cellophane and tied it off with a matching ribbon.
Elevated Paper Wraps
Coco Chanel once said, “Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.” The same is true for gift wraps! A simple and smartly-wrapped box is charming and effective. Here, I added a sprig of eucalyptus for its beauty and fragrance.
