Madre Perla is mother of pearl, an iridescent material produced in the inner shells of marine mollusks. It used for decoration and of course, jewelry. You can see a rainbow of subtle colors in mother of pearl, which makes ti so beautiful. Fittingly, the color of natural pearls are the cohesive element and inspiration for this collection, coupled with iridescence and subtle colors.
The absolute standout in this new, holiday, Armani collection is the Face & Eye Palette. It is available in an exclusive, limited edition case (just 3,000 available) with a top of Madre Perla for $98.00. Inside the case you will find three stripes of luminous color: sand, champagne and aqua. Silky shadows with s super-light texture illuminate eyes , and catch the light on your skin when the sand and champagne tones are lightly dabbed onto the contours of your face. But don’t stop there, dab a dot of light perle on the middle of your bottom lip to make it just a wee bit poutier, or put it wherever your heart desires!
Other pieces in the glamorous, holiday collection include: Eye Palette: featuring metallic ivory, lavender, and taupe strips of luminous color. If you want Armani beauty items, these are a veritable bargain, at $28.00 per gloss. Choose the subtly iridescent, natural look of rosewood , or the bolder shades of “amaranth” red and sienna, plus a stunning purple. a bold but translucent amethyst.
Also featured are the Eyes To Kill Intense Shadow in a limited edition trio of metallic gold, silver plutonium and an intermediate shade, obtained by blending gold and silver. These are creamy shadows that are long lasting supposedly to 24 hours, thanks to a very high concentration of pigments captured in a supple polymer complex, resistant to humidity and heat. I didn’t get to try them, but you can, for just $32.00 per shadow.
