The weather is (finally) warming up. Pretty soon it will be the time for those invites for upcoming weddings. These days, weddings, girlfriend getaways, and even birthday parties are going to be out of town or out of doors gatherings. But that doesn’t mean you should wear something blah. What can you buy that’s festive, travels well, and still feel like you made an effort? Read on for the two glittery, sparkly must-haves that make life easier, and more fun!
This Glittery Sparkly Dress!
I’ve been searching for a travel-friendly, one style fits all dress that can be worn to a destination event. And I’ve found it! The Pop the Bubbly dress from the Macoma Boutique checks all the boxes for all of the above. It’s sexy, but not trashy. The copper and gold shimmery fabric adds a party look. The drape-y style with an elasticized waist is simple.
I made this belt and added it to cover up the elasticized waist. However, you can easily wear it without any accessories at all. You’ll still shine!
Fabric and Sizing
The glittery sparkly fabric composition is mostly nylon and spandex with a bit of lurex for the sparkle. It’s easily packable without wrinkling (I tested it). It’s synthetic but it is lightweight. You won’t die in the heat or shiver in the chill at night.
I love the size-inclusive Small to 3XL (I’m wearing a large). If you are short as I am, the dress is slightly below the knee. You can add a cami under the wrap style if you don’t want to show too much. The best part? It’s affordable at just $50. That’s not a typo! There are plenty of other styles on the Marcoma Boutique website you will find easily on your budget.
Mom-Preneur
The brain behind Marcoma Boutique is Ashley McPherson, a mom-preneneur with a passion for fashion. Her online boutique features more than 50 brands including her own, Phierce Fashions,.

I published the stock photo of the dress so you can see how it looks on someone else. I fell in love with the Pop the Bubbly Dress! Pair it with a pair of flat sandals. Or go all out with rhinestone sandals as I did.
The One Glittery Sparkly Accessory to Add
In the past, nail polish was an afterthought. Then, designers began really focusing on nails and nail art during runway shows to complement their fashions.
When you’re wearing a sparkly dress such as the Pop the Bubbly dress above, you don’t need a lot of accessories. In fact, if you wear too much bling it just cheapens the effect. But one thing that you don’t have to pack, and that is a must-have is a full set of glittery nails.
Cupcake Polish recently launched their Celestial Collection. It features six glittery polishes with reflective glitter. They’re long-wearing for a week or a weekend away.
The multi-chrome finish in these polishes shifts and changes depending upon the lighting. It’s almost like wearing a color-changing gem like the rare alexandrite. The glitter is gorgeous, although it really feels a bit gritty, even with a coat of clear over it.
Another nice thing about these glamorous nail polishes is that are 5-free (no toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, or camphor).
The Colors:
Andromeda – a black/red multichrome nail polish with silver reflective glitter
Equinox – a teal/purple/gold multichrome nail polish with silver reflective glitter
Light Speed – a super-strong silver linear holographic nail polish
Meteor Shower – a blue/purple/red multichrome nail polish with silver reflective glitter
Nebula – a blue/green multichrome nail polish with silver reflective glitter
Quasar – a gold/pink/green multichrome nail polish with silver reflective glitter
It isn’t right to play favorites with a collection so glam, but I have to. The one nail polish that doesn’t have the glitter texture is “Light Speed.” One coat gives your nails a luminous pearl look. But the holographic formula isn’t like a basic white pearl nail polish. Two coats give you a glamorous easy-to-wear blue-gray perle.
This is just great for a modern bride who wants something more glamorous than bridal pink. It’s also great for you, the wedding guest. The other glitter polishes look great in the sun by the way!
