These days, natural products are hot. One company that produces a wide variety of products for a wide variety of skin types, is G.M. Collin. The company was founded in France in 1957 by a dermatologist. over the years, G.M. Collin has become known for using the latest technology to develop innovative skin care products., but with a nod towards nature. They’ve taken the natural approach even farther, with the introduction of Bio Organique. This newest skin care line features 99% Natural & Certified Organic Ingredients, perfect for people who feel their bodies, and their environment, need to be “respected.”
All natural and/ or organic doesn’t mean the products are less effective than other products. I tried a few of items from the Bio Organique line, and found them to be luxurious and effective…just more “green” than your average skincare-in-a-jar/tube/pump generally is. And that’s a good thing!
I love the Cleansing Milk. For starters, it is just $34.00. That may be more than what you’d pay for a drugstore brand, but it’s not out of the ballpark for “green” products–you can expect to pay a bit more anything in this category. It arrives in a pristine, tapered white plastic bottle with fresh, green accents, and a pump top. I love that! The cleansing milk (and most of the other products in this review) are best for normal to dry skin. G.M. Collin has plenty of other products for other skin types. The key, active ingredients in this product are Avocado, to nourish and protect your skin with Omega 3, 6 & 9 that also help reduce water loss that can dry out your skin. I also love the lavender, that gently purifies, and reduces skin redness, while the light scent calms and relaxes you. Cleansing milks tend to be very mild and soothing, and this one is no different, but still thoroughly cleanses your skin. It will even remove (most) makeup so you don’t have to use another product as well, or rub and scrub to get the really stubborn products, off your face.
The Revitalizing Mist is the second step to clean, “green” skin. This 8 fl. oz. pump spray pump bottle (srp. $36.00) has a mixture of ecocertified Orange Water to refresh and hydrate the skin, while Beech Tree Bud Extract nourishes and revitalizes and soothes, Another ingredient is concord grape, a powerful antioxidant, rich in polyphenols. It neutralizes free radicals to help your skin avoid the signs of premature aging. And the scent of citrus and lavender just makes you feel good. But the mist has other purposes, too. It prepares your skin for an enhanced effect and absorption of products you will apply later — those with even more antioxidants and skin-energizing properties. I personally do not like to “mist” my face, but this revitalizing mist is very pleasant.
No skin care routine would be complete with moisturization. The Bio Organique line has a Nourishing Cream (srp. $48.00) that comes in a tube with traditional, screw cap. It has a very silky and light texture, featuring olive to hydrate and soothe, and argan oil, to protect and nourish (and encourage cell regeneration and maintain ideal skin tone). This Nourishing Cream is a nice moisturizer for normal to dry skin. There are other serums and moisturizers in this line other G.M. Collin collections, so pick the one that suits your skin type the best.
If you’re into green and you want luxury, this line is great! If you are just looking for a good, everyday skincare routine to start the New Year right, you’ll love it as well. The Bio Organique line also features an Energizing Masque, Gentle Exfoliant, Normalizing Gel-Cream, Treating Serum and Eye Contour. The cost for most is around $38.00- $48.00.
