Yesterday, I reviewed the Good Weekend kit by SAMPAR, featuring tiny amount of five skin care products that help protect your skin against environmental pollution and agressor. But there are many travel kits from excellent skin care companies, that give you just enough product to take it in a carry on or tote, under TSA’s stringent regulations. The kits have enough for a few days to a week, and they are also a great way to sample an entire collection from a skin care company or line that you may not be familiar with (and not have to buy large bottles of everything, first).

Skin Authority has a number of at-home, and travel, kits. But one I really like is the GO! Gorgeous kit. It features four 0.7 fl. oz. tubes of anti-aging products (with sealed, flip top lids), that contain the power of exfoliants, antioxidants, peptides and sun protection, to help you keep your skin youthful and safe from environmental sabotage. The four products are simple to use. Daily Cleanser and Sunscreen Moisturizer with SPF 30 is used in the morning, while the Daily Cleanser, Resurfacing Accelerator, and Tri-Power Peptide Hydrator, is used in the evening. You can’t get too much simpler than that!
I liked the gentle, Daily Cleanser, with 3% glycolic acid to exfoliate dead skin cells without turning your face into a raw mess. The somewhat foamy, gel formula made my face feel clean and refreshed. I also loved the Sunscreen Moisturizer with a nice, SPF 30. It smells nicely fresh, absorbs quickly, and while it is rich, it isn’t greasy.
The Resurfacing Accelerator is a clear gel that has more “oomph” in the exfoliation department. However, if you have sensitive skin, you may want to use it less than the every other day suggested, at least until your skin gets used to it. It contains 15% Glycolic acid. That’s not a huge amount, but on my sensitive skin, it felt a bit irritating. I would suggest you try it first, and then decide whether every other night works well for your skin type.
The Tri-Power Peptide Hydrator is a night moisturizer with Vitamins A, C, A and B, and all sorts of other good and nourishing, anti-aging peptides. I thought it was a good hydrator, and not so heavy you didn’t want to put your face on the pillow. My skin felt softer in the AM…so that’s a real plus you can actually feel and see. I think you will like it, too.
Like all sample kits, you will get value, and the experience of being able to try pricier products you might not want to commit to in a full size just yet. This kit will last about a week if you are careful with how much you apply, and it retails for $42.00. There’s also a special, breast cancer edition for $52.00, but 10% of the proceeds go to breast cancer research. If you consider that the Tri-Power Peptide Hydrator alone is $80.50 for the regular, 1.7 fl. oz size, the kit begins to look a lot more reasonable. The products are excellent, so if you can afford a little splurge, go for Go! Gorgeous! Visit the Skin Authority Web Site to learn more and to see all the products they offer.
