I’m so excited about the warmer weather, aren’t you? But with the sunshine often comes high humidity. You can’t change nature, but you can change the way to approach your hairstyle. For starters, you can accessorize and tame your hair or just keep it off your face with hair accessories. BelleFixe has some really pretty ones in their new Floral Collection. You can also keep your hair sleek (or at least, less out of control…unless that is the look you’re going for) with John Frieda’s Brazilian Sleek Frizz Immunity Shampoo and Conditioner. These are quick, affordable, and easy ways to make a good hair day even better, or a bad one, bearable!
Beautiful BelleFixe:
I’ve had a love affair with BelleFixe ever since the first collections of these gorgeous hair accessories arrived in the marketplace last year. I don’t need hot weather or high humidity to wear hair accessories, of course. But they are an easy and affordable way to deal with a bad hair day or make a good hair day even better. The latest collection from BelleFixe is a pastel and floral-print “Floral Collection.”
Advicesisters.com received a few samples of the Floral Collection to share with you. The entire collection consists of 4 knotted headbands ($16/each), 4 soft fabric twist headwraps ($15/each), 4 large organza scrunchies ($14/each), 4 elastic floral print fabric pony wraps ($14/each), and 4 duos of smaller scrunchies with a print scrunchie and a silky scrunchie ($14/each duo).
The Peony collection (middle left and top right) features print and solid bright coral. The Wildflower c(bottom left) collection features solid gold and a beautiful print with ferns and blue, pink, and maroon wildflowers.
The purple print and solids of the Orchid collection represent the lovely orchid. The poppy collection closest to my fingertips has a tranquil print of cream with hints of green and solid cream. I like this one because it’s neutral and goes with so many things!
Humidity and Hot Weather Helpers
What I love about hair accessories is that there is so much you can do with them. And, they’re an easy way to fight humidity and hot weather.
Try wrapping a bun or a ponytail to keep your hair in place at the gym, beach, pool, etc. Wear a headwrap or headband to keep hair from blowing around in the wind, to coordinate with an outfit, or just keep frizzies literally under wrap. Keep hair secure with a scrunchie or pony wrap. Wear scrunchies on your braid, or on your wrist as decoration “in case” you need to put your hair up.
Tip: if fabric headwraps keep sliding, use a decorative bobby pink or clip to hold each side. BelleFixe also has several collections with great metal hair jewelry.
It’s really difficult to say which pieces are must-haves since all of them are so pretty. I really like the solid wide knotted silky hairbands for date night and elegance. But the floral prints in these collections are definitely on-trend for Spring. Even those with very short hair (or no hair) will find the soft fabric headwraps to be a great way to accessorize for the season.
Smooth and Sleek: Fight the Frizz
Another way to make your hair look even better is with John Frieda Frizz Ease Brazilian Sleek “Frizz Immunity” Shampoo and Conditioner. This particular formula (John Freida Frizz Ease has many) features Keratin Drops and John Frieda’s excellent almost iconic frizz immunity complex. You’ll love the scent, too.
The shampoo and conditioner together work well to keep your hair smooth and fight frizz. You don’t need too much –be sure to wash it out thoroughly.
This is formulated to work ideally for medium to thick wavy, or curly hair. You’ll love the scent. too!
A Miracle?
When the original John Frieda Frizz Ease arrived in the marketplace in 1989, fans called it a miracle against humidity. In fact, I read somewhere that one bottle is sold every 30 seconds! Advicesisters.com has reviewed numerous John Frieda Hair products.
However, this particular Brazilian Sleek shampoo and conditioner are specifically designed to smooth your hair and deal with humidity so your hair doesn’t frizz. However, you still will want to blow dry and style your hair as you would even with a pricey keratin treatment. Moreover, these are products that help your hair look better and better with consistent use.
With warmer weather, those who dream of sleek hair without the cost of keratin treatments may find these do the trick, beautifully and affordably. The large 8.45 oz. flip top tubes are just $8 each. Much more affordable than chemical treatments for smoothing your hair in the salon. For more information visit the John Frieda Website. Target/Target.com
