These are Hair Tools So High Tech Even a Baby Can Work Them!
They are The Next Generation of Styling — at Your Fingertips
One of the most memorable vidos that went viral in the past couple of years was of a tiny baby holding a magazine, and trying to turn the pages by “Swiping” them. We are in the age of digital devices and most of them are powered by the touch of a hand, or rather the swipe of a finger. So it’s no surprise that Vidal Sassoon a leader in salon hair care and styling tools, has created a brand new type of styling tool that usesed the same kind of touch. Their Touch Control Digital line of products uses the swipe of your finger to adjust the heat and speed settings. The line also has a setting lock which prevents the user from changing tho you don’t have to reset for the next time.
The new Vidal Sassoon Touch Control Line currently consists of three products, all of which feature Tourmaline Ceramic technology that give you less frizz and smoother, shinier hair: 1” Straightener (VSST2564, $34.99), 1” Curling Iron (VSIR1557, $29.99), and an 1875W Dryer (VSDR5561, $44.99).
I was sent the 1875W Dryer (VSDR5561, $44.99) to test out. The sleek dryer is fire engine red, so it’s nice to look at. But it is what’s under the proverbial hood that counts. It has the usual bells and whistles such as a concentrator attachment, cold shot button and sturdy cord with attached ring so you can hang it if you wish. The dryer is lightweight so it’s not going to fatigue your hand and wrist.
The main feature of these tools and this hair dryer is the digital panel, instead of the usual buttons or dials. The digital controls on the hair dryer are mounted on the handle. They are lighted, large and easy to use. The dryer gets hot almost instantly and once you lock the settings, they really do stay locked. It’s convenient, although I tend to vary the settings from hot to cooler as I dry my hair, so locking the last setting isn’t really a big plus for me. What is a big plus is the fact that the digital seems very consistent and powerful.
The dryer is noisy but it is not a wimpy dryer. It blasts out that full 1875 watts of power with enthusiasm! That’s a bonus for those with long, thick or difficult to dry hair. The tourmaline ceramic does adequate duty to keep the frizz factor down, the shine and smoothing duties, up.
Hair dryers are supposed to do one thing well, dry your hair and keep it from being damaged. The Vidal Sassoon 1875W Dryer (VSDR5561) does the job very well with the new feature addition of the digital controls, which I liked very much. It’s a modern take on a must-have hair tool, and the company is offering it at a great price. If you are looking for a new hair dryer, this could be the choice you want! I am guessing the the curling iron and the straightener are just as good, given the performance of the digital display on the hair dryer.
These are a yes! Give them a try.
