The world is noisy. Add stress, and other environmental factors, and getting to sleep can be a challenge. The latest in the iHome “Zenergy” line is the Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser Alarm Clock with Sound Therapy (iZA40).
This small Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser with dual alarm clock and sound machine does a lot for the modest $80 price tag. It can make your bedroom into a true sanctuary.
Advicesisters.com has reviewed many iHome products on advicesisters.com. However, iHome always excites me with innovative, high tech, luxury products at affordable prices.
Spa-Ahh!
Clock/Timers:
Functioning as a clock, the Zenergy Aromatherapy Dream has dual alarms and a nice LED readout. But it also has aromatherapy and sound therapy up to 8 hours each.
You can enjoy waking up and sleeping to the essential oil scent of your choice, using the customizable alarms and timers.
Aromatherapy:
The aromatherapy has a 250ml reservoir capacity for water that will deliver a fine mist of water and the essential oil of your choosing. Fill it up and it can last up to 54 hours without refilling.
If your device runs out of the water, there’s an automatic shut off.
A bonus is the 5ml 100% lavender Pure Essential Oil that comes with your Aroma Dream.
Sound Therapy:
The sound therapy benefits include 12 recorded environmental and white noise sounds including, a car ride(?!) and more traditional sound themes. These can lull you to sleep or wake you up in the morning to your chosen sound.
Remote control:
The Remote Control is oval-shaped and sits right on top of the unit. You can control the oil diffuser, sound modes, alarms, and timers from a distance.
The unit powers up with a traditional wall plus. However, there is a USB charging port in the back to charge your phone. The unit also has a backup battery should you lose power.
Pros and Cons:
I love iHome products, and can find little fault with any of them. I love just about everything on the iHome Zenergy Aroma Dream, but there are a few things to note:
It would be nice to have a better set of directions with more graphics, or a few instructional videos, considering how many actions one alarm clock/aromatherapy/sound machine/remote control can do. Most of the operations will be intuitive.
Sound therapy is wonderful to relax you, block out unwanted noise, and help you to sleep. However, if you are unable to sleep, after a while you’ll hear the sound loop repeat. It’s not a bad thing, really, but it is easy to become mesmerized and stay awake waiting for the loop to begin and end again.
The iHome Aroma Dream has a plastic well inside that you fill water. But the top isn’t airtight, be careful where you put it and keep it away from pets/kids.
*If you’re not using the aromatherapy for a while, please do empty the tank to avoid mold and germs.
The remote control is easy to use and very convenient, but if you’re in a darkened room, you can’t see the buttons, so it’s not really useful at night.
The Bottom Line:
It’s a little thing, but the iHome Zenergy Aroma Dream can make a big difference in the amount and quality of your sleep. It would make a great Mother’s Day gift, or for a new couple, or new graduate.
I don’t know how I lived without it!
The iHome Zenergy AromaTherapy Dream can be found at Amazon, Kohl’s and other fine retailers across the USA.
