The ingredients to create the color purple used to be so rare, the color was reserved only for royalty.
But this season, purples, plums, berries, and wine colors are the must-haves both in clothing, and for nails. These days, however, you don’t have to be Queen to wear this regal color. Insta–Dri Nail Color from Sally Hansen gives you a variety of gorgeous, jewel-tones in the purple family for just $4.95 per bottle!
It is hard to pick a perfect shade–there are so many gorgeous ones. But three trendy shades I love for now are “Wined-Up,” a glorious, metallic merlot that looks elegant and is a great alternative to reds. “Cinna-Snap” is a blood ruby burgundy, gleaming a rich and without shimmer. It looks like precious jewels, or perhaps, velvet. A not quite brown, not quite plum, not quite copper, is the shimmery “Mochachino.” No matter which one you choose, you will be in style, in seconds!
I have reviewed Insta–Dri in past What Works Beauty columns. I love the large brush that lets you swipe on the smooth, opaque color in literally, one swipe. I love the way it lasts for days, too. The exclusive “Flexiglass” complex gives you shine and strength. Apply it in seconds, get gorgeous color and it lasts longer than many salon manicures? It’s true!
If you didn’t get these in your stocking for the holidays, go to your favorite drug or mass market retailer and treat yourself. You won’t pay royally, but you will feel special!
