I have a favorite pair of jeans that after washing, feel tight, but as the day wears on they stretch so much at the waist that I find myself constantly tugging and pulling them up. I’ve even done this is public places, hoping no one would notice my wriggly dance–anything to stop their journey downwards. I can wear a belt to keep them up, but belts on jeans is so last year, and belts over jeans look trendy, but don’t keep them on my waist. And, if I want to wear a tunic over my pants and wear a belt, the buckle bulges and looks like I’m concealing some sort of secret weapon under my shirt!
Invisibelt is one of those “little helpers” that you might never know exists, until you try one and find you really need it.
It’s inexpensive and clever, and provides (finally!) a solution to the problem of pants that perhaps you’ve outgrown, but don’t want to give up, or waistbands that just seem to stretch and stretch and stretch once the garment is on. The Invisbelt fits sizes 2-14 and also plus sizes. It’s a clear, adjustable belt with a flat clasp that keeps your pants or skirts up, and doesn’t leave a bulge. No one will know you’re wearing it unless you are wearing a seriously clinging knit top. The plastic is rigid enough to hold it’s shape, but flexible and soft enough not to cause discomfort.
When I first saw this product I thought: who really needs this? Now, I know: I do!
The belt reminds me of a large version of the straps some bras feature, with clear, adjustable straps. And, much like a bra, it’s function is to help you defy gravity! The belt isn’t meant to be seen, so you’re not going to want to wear it without a top or tunic over it unless you really like the look. It’s easy to use (the instructions are so clear you can’t mess it up) and the result is the end of tugging and pulling on pants that aren’t quite your size, or that just won’t stay where you want them on your waist. After I road-tested the Invisibelt on my fabulous, stretching pants, I realized I hadn’t tugged, pulled, or wriggled them upwards, all day.
Invisibelt comes in clear or black, for $19.95 visit http://www.invisibelt.com/ Since it’s adjustable, it’s a must-have for a dieter, and a clever gift for “mom’s” day, coming up.
