Call your BFF. Tweet it. FaceBook it, or send an email, because there’s a new fragrance in town, with packaging so innovative, it recently won top honors in the Fragrance Package Design Innovation category in this year’s ICMAD “ (Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors) 2012 CITY AWARDS.” You’re going to want it!
The fragrance in two versions, is called: it’s me for Her, and it’s me for Him is by Jacomo. It is being lauded as the first “iPerfume.” The pristine, white (black for men), rectangular flacon looks high tech, like a sleek smart phone, but it doesn’t “phone home.”Instead, it dispenses a beautiful fragrance for women, or for men.
The packaging, and the fragrances within, will immediately appeal to the teen to 20-something customer, who is already so very connected to their electronic devices. The price of $45.00 (1.7 oz), makes owning it’s me for Women or it’s me for Men, a reality for these younger, but discerning, consumers.
But “young” and “trendy” doesn’t mean the fragrances are unsophisticated. The sparkling, fruity scent of it’s me for Women is complex, something soothing and pleasing. It has top notes of pineapple, licquorish, and mandarin, with a heart of dry fruit, pear, freesia, and lily of the valley, plus a drydown of jasmine, iris powder, patchouli, sandalwood and musk. It’s a light fragrance, perfect for a younger woman, but also pleasing for older ladies who want something light, fun, and flirty. Hers feels “cheerful.”
It’s me for Him is very different. It’s a typical, “guy’s” fragrance, fresh and undeniably masculine, with top notes of lemon, grapefruit and liquorish, plus a heart of patchouli, jasmine, and, interestingly, somewhat old-fashioned notes of violet and lavender, plus a base of amber, vanilla, rosewood and musk that give it that “manly” scent. But the thing I really like about both these fragrances is that they are exciting, unique….something you seriously drink in and want to smell even more.
Although not everyone wants to carry a larger sized flacon in their pocket or handbag, the it’s me fragrances by Jacomo are no larger or heavier than an iPhone. It will cause a literal sensation if you bring it with you and “freshen up” your fragrance. If you haven’t experienced envy, bring your it’s me along to a party or event, and watch the reaction!
