Jessie Steele believes that the things we wear for daily routine in life, should be super-fun. And why not?! Their line of colorful, fancifully-decorated sleep and kitchen/hostess wear is the stuff of dreams, the “little things” that make life easier, and more fun. I was simply wowed by their display at one of the holiday gift shows I attended earlier this Summer. The company is already known for their adorable (and functional) aprons and kitchen-wear. In fact “Charlotte” and her daughter, Lily, wore their “Cherry Cupcake” cupcake-festooned apron in the Sex and the City2 movie. However, Jessie Steele has also just launched a truly adorable woman’s pajama line. The prints are totally outrageously cute, from peppy little poodles to polka dots, roses, and more.

What makes these so cute is easy to see, but the quality is there, as well. The super-soft 100% brushed cotton sleep shirts and PJs (mine, in Cherry Cupcake) are $65.00 each. They are beautifully piped in pink satin as accents at the button placket, the breast pocket, and on the wrists, The button are not the usual, cheap (and easily breakable) plastic, but good quality, sturdily sewn on. The nightshirt could have just featured a cheaper, straight hem, but this nightshirt has an adorable ruffled hem (so girly!). Inside the neck area is a soft, pink placket with a script “Jessie Steele” in black embroidered script (actually embroidered, not just stamped on).
The headband is a Bonus:
As a final detail, there’s a belt/headband on a wide, pink gross-grain ribbon to keep your hair under control. It’s this kind of little luxury that makes for a great gift, and a little indulge for yourself. Oh! and before I forget: a pretty “to/from” hangtag is attached so you don’t have to fish for one when you’re getting ready to give these as a gift. The pajamas come in sizes S-XL and in an assortment of best-selling prints such as Cottage Rose Lace, Polka Dot, French Poodle, and Cherry Cupcakes.

If you’re not into nightshirts, there’s also a two-piece boyfriend pajama set, complete with wide-leg, elastic, and drawstring pants. These are machine washable (just dont’ add bleach). When you see the photos of these items, you will know why I got so excited when I first saw them.

Go For Modern Vintage
As to hostess and kitchen goodies (and these make great gifts), if you are going to entertain from Thanksgiving on, you’ll want at least one of these aprons that are truly “modern vintage.” They’ll make you not just sexy and cute, they’ll turn heads and keep your clothes clean.
