Jimmy Choo L’Eau, a new fragrance from the famed shoe designer, is following the “pink” trend of the beauty industry for Spring 2017 and doing it in such a lovely way!
You immediately see the pink trend in the outer carton in Jimmy Choo’s signature textured “snakeskin” done in feminine, blush pink.
Inside is the beautiful prize, a blush pink “cocoon-shaped” bottle inspired by the artistry of Murano glass (on the advicesisters Instagram feed @advicesisters_beauty_and_style some grumps insisted it looked a bit like a grenade, I disagree).
Topping the spray diffuser is a square, blush pink and gold rimmed cube reminiscent a pink Rubick’s cube tile (remember those)?
Jimmy Choo L’Eau, Beyond the Bottle:
Beyond the packaging and the bottle is what really counts: a feminine but modern fragrance created by perfumer Juliette Karagueuzoglo (of IFF).
In a word, the description of this fragrance is:”happy.”
The light, fresh fragrance lifts up your spirits on the way to work, to school, that first date or interview when you need to feel confident and positive.
The fragrance is sophisticated enough for a woman, but it could also be a younger girl’s introduction to the world of luxury fragrances as well.Maybe this will be the fragrance she remembers the rest of her life as her first really special one.
Jimmy Choo L’Eau could be the one fragrance she remembers the rest of her life as her first really special fragrance.
The Notes:
As the Perfumer describes Jimmy Choo L’Eau, it: “captures the scent of a delicious thirst-quenching hibiscus flower blended with barks, fruits and vibrant woods, to create a radiant feminine sensuality.”
The scent is definitely a bright fruity floral. I smelled the bergamot immediately, coupled with hibiscus flower.
The heart of Jimmy Choo L’Eau also contains fruits and florals: nectarine and peony.
The scent remains light and never seems to dry down to the more sensual notes of cedarwood and musk.
A Mood-Changing Fragrance:
The hibiscus is one of my favorite flowers, ever since I saw fields of them growing in Barbados when I was five years old. They’re delicate and beautiful!
Interestingly, most hibiscus don’t have a fragrance, although some have a honey scent.
Following the pink trend, but just coincidentally, tea made with hibiscus is also pink, and has a tart berry-like taste.
The bright notes in Jimmy Choo L’Eau fragrance (especially the top notes that stick around and stay on your skin), make me feel happy every time I spray the fragrance.
Spray some this Spring and let it do the same for you!
