As I write this most of the leaves have fallen. But I’ve fallen for some unique essential beauty products from Lancome. Each is a genuine multi-tasker. Looking good has never been more important, no matter what you’re doing! That’s why I put photos of these Lancome products in hearts!
Multi-Tasker Skincare With SPF!
Lancome Rénergie Lift Multi-Action Ultra Face Cream SPF 30 ($99 MSRP) is a mighty multi-tasker. It’s a new addition to the brand’s Rénergie skin-care line.
The silky, lightweight cream is not a lightweight when it comes to skin benefits. This anti-aging cream firms, hydrates, helps deal with dark spots and it also has SPF 30 to protect against sun damage It is good for all skin types. You can also use it on your neck and decollete.
That’s a lot of “wow!” packed into one elegant purple and silver jar.
Key Ingredients:
The key ingredients include Linseed exact and LHA (Lipo Hydroxy Acid) plus a blend of jojoba, sunflower, and mimosa flower waxes. This luxe skincare will hydrate up to 24-hours but as you can see, it’s a lot more than just a moisturizer.
It’s one of my new favorites and makes me feel pampered as well as protected. However, I expect nothing less because it’s from Lancome. No wonder it won the 2020 Harper’s Bazaar Anti-Aging Award.
Super Sun Protection:
Just because the frost is on the pumpkins doesn’t mean that you can ditch your sun protection. In fact, you may need it more than ever in the winter especially when snow reflects the sun back at you. Each of these Broad Spectrum SPF products from Lancome has SPF 50 to protect your skin from the sun’s damaging rays while offering different skincare benefits.
Lancome CC Cream:
CC Cream stands for “color correcting.” Along with skincare benefits, you get some cosmetic ones, such as light-diffusing particles to reduce the look of skin issues and a hint of tint. These are not the same as a BB cream. BB creams are less pigmented if at all, but also have some skincare benefits.
The active in the Lancome UV expert Mineral CC Cream with broad-spectrum SPF 50 protection is 15.5% titanium dioxide. Key ingredients include antioxidants Vitamin E and Edelweiss. This mineral SPF is good for all skin types including sensitive skin.
Color Choices:
To get an idea of the coverage there are 5 colors light to very dark. In this photo are Shade 2 (light to medium) and Shade 3 (medium). This CC cream is blendable so you won’t need to use much, and the cover is “forgiving.”
Aquagel Year Round SPF 50 Protection:
Lancome’s UV Expert Aquagel Defense 50 sunscreen is also a multi-tasker. This oil-free broad-spectrum sun protection also functions as an all-day primer and moisturizer as well as protecting your skin from the sun’s damaging rays.
The actives are a blend of 3% avobenzon3, 10.7% homosalate, 3.2%octisalate, 6% octocrylene and 3.9% oxybenzone plus Vitamin E, Moringa and Edelweiss.
Cool & Energizing:
I love the way this feels cool and energizing applied to the skin, and there is no tint or residue plus a slight pretty floral scent. Some common sun protection ingredients may cause irritation in some people. I’d suggest that you consult with your doctor if you are unsure whether a product is right for you. Even though I have sensitive skin I think this one is extremely effective.
When it comes to sunscreens, the best product for you is the one that you will actually wear. This sunscreen and the CC creams above are perfect purse pals in slim 1 oz. white and gold tubes with a secure flip-top. they’re $40 each and worth every penny.
Multi-tasker for Hair:
“La vie est belle,” is a French expression meaning “life is beautiful,” and is about choosing your own path to happiness. The spokesperson for this fragrance is none other than the charming Actress Julia Roberts.
La Vie est Belle Hair Mist from Lancôme is a special addition to any special occasion. It is also a multi-tasker as fragrance and hair enhancer. When someone gets close to you the scent wafts from your hair. However, since I received my sample I can’t stop spritzing it daily to enjoy the lovely floral scent and more shine.
This is a new addition to the La Vie Est belle collection and a very affordable way to try the fragrance or add a layer of the scent.
The La Vie Est Belle’s bottle, named “The Crystal Smile,” was first designed in 1949 by Georges Delhomme. The silk hair mist bottle is in the original flacon, but with a frosted finish. It feels cool in your hand, like a special talisman stone.
The Notes:
The perception of a fragrance is actually personal, but the actual notes in both the fragrance and the hair mist are as follows:
Top Note: Iris, Middle Note: Patchouli, Base Note: Spun Sugar & Vanilla. Also there are hints of Arabian jasmine sambac and Tunisian orange blossom. Lancome calls La Vie Est Belle “an oriental fragrance with a twist of florals and sweet gourmands. “
In my opinion, it’s a fresh modern floriental. Vanilla is a staple in many fragrances so I don’t think of it as solely gourmand. The spun sugar would be a gourmand but I personally don’t smell enough. You immediately smell the patchouli and jasmine but the florals move farther away in the presence of the sensual notes, leaving a soft, pretty spice.
Benefits:
Another big benefit is that the hair mist has oils and softening agents that won’t weigh your hair down, but will add softness and shine along with the scent. It is just $50/1 fl oz. and a great way to amplify the fragrance on your body. There will be more La Vie Est Belle for holiday.
All of these products are currently available at all Lancôme counters nationwide and on Lancome-usa.com.
