OMG! This doesn’t happen often, but somehow my advicesisters.com review of two sun-worthy Lancome foundations with SPF, plus a brand new serum-infused volumizing mascara has gone missing. I tested everything personally and took most of the photos in this re-written story, so you know this is an honest feature as if I’d do it any other way. It is going up right now on advicesisters.com and our social media.
The foundations that Lancome has with SPF are a perfect way to beautify and also to protect your skin on a daily basis. They’re fan favorites. Now, they’re some of my favorites too.
What I Tested:
I tried Renergie Lift Makeup with up to 12 hours of hydration SPF 27 for all skin types in #310 Clair and also 220 Buff. This foundation has 7.5% octinoxate and 3.2% titanium dioxide. I also tried the Teint Idole Ultra Wear 3% Oxtinoxate sunscreen broad spectrum 2pf 15 in Ivoire
Find Your Colors:
Foundation colors are often hard to judge from online color swatches. However, Lancome wisely gives you a number of ways to check the tone and whether it’s warm, cool, or neutral using actual faces and also swatches on different skin tones. They also have a color match app the color match 3 shade finder. You scan a QR code and then the app will open. In all honesty, I have to report that no matter how many times I tried, I couldn’t get it to work on my android phone. But if it works for you, it’s a great time saver as well s a way to ensure you’re getting the shade that flatters you the most.
Testing – Renergie Lift Makeup:
For the Renergie Lift Makeup you will find plenty of colors of this medium to full coverage makeup. It promises up to 12 hours of lifting, hydrating, and radiance. Both of the colors I tried (Clair and Buff) worked fine on my skin even though one was darker than the other. Blendable and easy to love! and The paraben-free formula also has nourishment for your skin in the way of caffeine, vitamin E, iris extract, corn kernel extra, soybean oil and New Zealand black tree fern (also known as the Mamaku plant).
Also, as with all products in the Rénergie Lift line, this makeup foundation contains linseed extract. Linseed oil is used in staining and sealing wood But Linseed extract is a source of Omega-3’s and ALA , These are anti-inflammatories that help treat various skin conditions, like acne, eczema, and flakiness. It also helps your makeup to stay put.
Wear Sunscreen or Re-Apply Frequently:
It’s best to wear an SPF of 30 or more for daily use. But if you’re intent upon wearing foundation in place of sunscreen you will need to re-apply it during the day. I liked the oxygen-free pump that keeps the application cleaner. The main takeaway is that it Renergie Lift Makeup is fairly longer wear than many foundations. The foundation gives your skin a luminous look which works on all skin types. However, if you want a matte look try the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation Stick. The transfer-resistant cream to powder formula provides a natural matte finish and controls shine.
Testing – Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Makeup:
My test on the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear 3% Oxtinoxate sunscreen broad spectrum Spf 15 in Ivoire went well. Alas, my Ivoire sample was really too light for my skin. But the full coverage foundation with 24-hour wear is blendable and really does offer full coverage that looks flawless. It’s also good for all skin types.
I wouldn’t presume to suggest that SPF 15 is enough to wear out in the sun for true protection, but for daily use Inside, it’s fine. After all, you get the sun’s rays even through windows, and definitely if you’re in a car.
However, if you are looking for a truly closeup-ready foundation, this is a fabulous one. It completely covers imperfections with a light and oil-free foundation that’s even good for sensitive skin. The matte formula is not luminous but it’s not dry-looking either. It will last until you take it off, no worries! Also, there are so many shades! Enlarge this photo to see how the colors look on actual skin. The Ivory shade I tried is the first one on the top arm.
Wait! There’s More! Lancome Le 8 Hypnôse Mascara:
It is Lancome’s newest mascara. This Le 8 Hypnôse Mascara from Lancome is a Serum-Infused Mascara. I love multi-taskers and this mascara doesn’t just beautify your lashes. A combination of 91% black balm, 8 revitalizing amino acids, and shea butter not only adds instant volume. It also (according to Lancome) will help nourish your lashes so they’re stronger and healthier in about four weeks.
But if you’re just seeking a new mascara that looks beautiful, this one is it! The sleek black acrylic case looks like a fragrance bottle. And the inky black color will add build-able layers so you can go from mild to wild with your lash look. If you wear lash extensions and falsies you’ll love that the zero-wax formula doesn’t loosen or strip the lash glue!
I also like the soft vegetal fiber mascara brush that coated my lashes completely and smoothly, even the tiny ones. But the best thing? You don’t need to rub or scrub to get it off, just use just warm water and a cotton pad.
Ariana DeBose, Gabrielle Union, Winnie Harlow, Olivia de Jonge, Sigourney Weaver, and Diane von Furstenberg were all wearing it at the 2022 Met Gala. If you’re going to splurge on one item this season it’s this $32 mascara.
