Actress Malin Akerman Shows Us How to Kick “Laundry Butt” with the LG Sidekick
Here is one reason you might need the brand new LG Sidekick washing machine(there are plenty of others):
We were eating hot dogs outside on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. To my dismay, I saw that my favorite white pants (of course they had to be white) managed to get mustard on them (blame it on too much slippery sauerkraut, ok?! We’d just done three loads of laundry in our LG washing machine (it’s a big one) and there was really no way I could justify using the big machine again for a mere pair of cotton pants.
If only my LG washing machine had been equipped with the new LG sidekick, I could have quickly, easily and affordably washed these two items without any worries!

Editors poised and ready for a very special spin class with Malin Akerman celebrating the new LG Sidekick

Malin Akerman For The LG Sidekick:
I first learned about the LG SideKick at an event called “LG SideKick Fit Fashion” that featured Billions actress Malin Akerman and Cyc Fitness Founder Keoni Hudoba co-leading a “Fit Fashion” spin class event to celebrate the LG SideKick pedestal washer and help motivate women to stay fit with fashion.
Ms. Akerman is a perfect spokesperson as she’s not just a glamorous active, but a mom and a workout enthusiast. I imagine she has a lot of laundry to do and since she works out a lot, the little LG Sidekick is a great idea for her busy life.
Before the high-energy spin class led by Malin Akerman and Cyc Fitness Founder Keoni Hudoba, I had a chance to check out the real “star” of this event: the LG Sidekick. What’s great about the LG SideKick is that it is also a washing machine with 6 different cycles just like my big LG machine, but it can be used by itself for a small load, or along with your larger washing machine (the LG TWINWash™ system). What’s Great about This?
What’s great about the LG SideKick is that it is also a washing machine with 6 different cycles just like my big LG machine, but it can be used by itself for a small load, or along with your larger washing machine (the LG TWINWash™ system). As Malin suggested, the Sidekick is particularly great for doing athleisure or workout wear or to segregate out things that you might pefer not to put in the larger wash with everything.
In my house, the little things that always need to be washed separately from the biggest wash could be anything from a bathmat that seems to “shed” on my most dark hued clothing, to intimates or my husband’s clothes after he’s been working hard in the yard. The SideKick could be just the thing for the kids gym clothes or the tablecloth your toddler spilled juice all over, or (again in my house) the quick wash of my cat with “stomach issues” who likes to hurl hairballs on our comforter. The LG Sidekick is your Washing Machin’es New Companion:
The SideKick isn’t in place of your bigger machine, it’s your washing machine’s new companion. The front-loading washer takes care of the big jobs, while the LG SideKick™ sits below it to take on those extra little loads. It’s not only sleek and efficient, the LG SideKick™ also doubles as a pedestal to raise your front-loading washer. Another nice feature is the “TurboWash” that can save up to 30 minutes if you’d used a larger machine, and there is also steam technology that deeply penetrates fabrics for gentle cleaning power.
The controls look easy to understand and they light up. Enjoy my little video of the LG Sidekick in action. While it’s small it’s pretty mighty. The LG SideKick™ washer can hold nearly 1 cu. ft., or approximately 3 to 4 pounds, of laundry. For a 3-pound load of delicates, that equates to 15 panties, 9 bras, 5 camisoles, 4 slips and 1 pajama bottom—all in one load. Or, you can wash 5 to 6 shirts in a 4-pound load.
The LG Sidekick’s retail price is $699 – $779. It obviously works only with LG Machines. If you want to know if your machine can work with the LG Sidekick click here for a list of compatible washing machine models. Currently, the LG SideKick™ is available in Stainless Steel and White.
