Loud Truck Gummies – Gummi Bears That Really Get You Going

July 12, 2010 By: Alison Blackman AdviceSisters

energy gummies

You can do things the hard way, or the easy way.  From my point of view, easy is better, and it’s crazy-good if it’s fun, too.  And easy way to get a quick pick-me-up, short of a cat nap, is to swill coffee or tea, pound sugar, or find another, healthier way to stay awake and functioning well.

One way that’s easy, fun and healthy, is Loud Truck Energy Gummies (in Citrus Blast), that apparently are being sold in Los Angeles vending machines in over 800 new locations around the city.  For 75 cents, tired souls can get a packette of a sweet and healthy treat –energy gummy bears!  These little gummies taste amazing and slightly tart, and really fruity, and they are not just an energy booster (thanks to naturally occurring caffeine in guarana as a stimulant), but they’re also full of  vitamins (B2, B3, B12, and over 220mg of Vitamin C) and are only 60, fat-free calories in an entire packet.  I tried to eat half a packet, and found myself pounding the gummies until there wasn’t a cute little squishy energy bear left.

For women, there’s a special, pink packet featuring the company’s  Movit Performance Gummie (in Tropical Fusion)  for Active Woman.  You can get this in a  24-Pack from the company web site.
Tropical Fusion taste tart and fruity like the original energy gummies, and of course, the squishy little pick-me-ups are in the shape of little bears.  Movit contains Guarana Extract & other vitamins B12 & C. Coenzyme Q10, taurine, theophyline and theobromine (for mental clarity)  and D-Ribose and glucuronolactone (to speed up the metabolism).  It also has 32 mg of caffeine.  And yes, it has only  60 calories per bag of 9 gummies.

I did a little poking around, and discovered that the pink foil Movit packet isn’t just to be girly, but it is in support of breast cancer research.  Setsuko Hansen, a gold medal-winning swimmer from Japan, is also the wife of the founder of the Loud Truck Gummies. Her sister was a breast cancer survivor, so she wanted the Movit gummies to support breast cancer research — 5¢ per bag from every purchase goes to help support the fight against breast cancer.  You mail in your empty bags as proof of purchase, and the company will make the donation.

That makes these, IMHO, twice as nice!

The gummies are the perfect companion for the gym, or an airplane, or to tuck into your tote for the beach or your car, or your desk at work.  All this sounds too good to be true, but these gummies are great, and they’re here. You aren’t going to get pumped up so much that you want to run a marathon (unless, of course, you really do intend to run one). I didn’t get a blast of energy, but I did manage to get through my late afternoon slump and well into the evening feeling alert, not jittery. I immediately got hooked on them–that’s maybe the only downside–because they are not really “candy” in that sense of the word. And, if there’s another downside, if you don’t live in LaLa Land, you’ll have to buy yours online through the web site for $12.00/dozen packets of the Loud Truck Gummies, or $24.00/24 packets of Movit.
