Cold, Wind, Snow, sun, stress, sleep-deprived? All these things make your skin dry, itchy, and dull. So maybe now is a great time to make an investment in some luxury skincare that is worth the splurge. Inika Organic, Raw Beauty, and Byroe New York offer skincare that is effective, elegant, and lovely to use. You’ll pay a bit more, but with the new year looming ahead, they will pay beauty dividends with real results. Advicesisters.com tried some products from each of these brands, and here’s what we experienced:
Natural Organic Luxury Skincare:
INIKA Organic has certified organic, cruelty-free, halal, and vegan products. According to the press materials I received, Inika Organic has more natural and organic certifications than any other beauty brand. That definitely got my attention. Advicesisters.com is dipping our toes into the many items Inika Organic has, with a serum and a couple of eye products. You can see them all in my photo below:
Sensitive eyes need special TLC. Inika Organic loose mineral eye shadow ($22) can help beautify safely. Of course, anyone can use them, as well. Two vegan mineral colors that add shimmer and warmth to your kids are “Copper Crush” (bright copper shimmer) and Peach Fetish light peach shimmer). The small jars of loose powder blend with a fingertip or a brush. They’re also layer-able for more or less intensity and shimmer. All the colors are very pretty. Tip: Tap a bit of mental eye shadow into the lid and mix it with a drop of water and an angled brush and you’ve got an awesome, intense, liquid eyeliner!
Speaking of which, if you’re seeking organic eyeliners, the Inika Organic $22 eyeliner pencil comes in 9 colors from basic black and brown (our samples) to bolder colors like White Crystal and Emerald. The creamy pencils slide on nicely and feel luxurious thanks to Certified Organic Coconut oil for more softness and nourishment.
Among the Inka Organics Skincare offerings are three serums. I tried the Phytofuse Renew Resveratrol Serum($80 1 fl. oz.). There are more than 14 botanicals in this, but the key ingredients are Resveratrol Grape Juice Extract, Rose of Jericho, Aloe, and Sunflower Seed Oil. Inika calls this product “a miracle in a bottle.” Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant made from the skin of grapes.
There are really no miracles that can bring your skin back to life as it was when you were very young. But this vegan and organic serum firms and helps to improve collagen production. It has bioactives that boost skin-cell regeneration and anti pollutant antioxidants to help reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It also works while you sleep to protect against environmental saboteurs. I like the fresh herbal scent that is actually aromatherapeutic and the non-greasy formula. If you like a product, you’ll use it regularly, I think you’ll really like this one! For more information visit the Inika Organic Website.
Raw Beauty Luxury Skincare:
Azizza, the founder of the Raw Beauty Co. wants to make a global impact with her clean beauty collection. She just might! The brand has five stellar products. The packaging brings home the “natural” idea with wood lids featuring three leaves and frosted glass jars. These look luxurious and elegant on display. The ingredients are natural and mostly plant-based. The subtle scents are lovely.
A Daily Routine:
A Few Times a Week:
A couple of times a week use the Micro Brilliance to exfoliate dead skin cells. Shea butter, jojoba butter, and Vitamin E gently remove dry dead skin cells. Some exfoliating products feel rough, but this one feels like fine grains of sand, and when you finish your skin feels soft and softly scented with a nice herbal fragrance. The entire bundle will cost you $300 and the serum alone is $112, but I think, worth a bit of an investment in your skin. For more information about Raw Beauty Co visit their website.
Luxury Skincare Byroe New York:
For some people, clean beauty is a must-have. Byroe New York elevates skincare with luxury and “salad-based” ingredients. There is a long list of these on the website. You can easily see that they’re items you can actually eat! Advicesisters.com reviewed their gorgeous and beautifully packaged Truffle Eye Serum in one of our holiday 2021 beauty columns.
There are a lot of different products from this brand to like. I tried the Byroe Rice Cleansing Sorbet, Bitter Gren Essence Toner, and the Salmon Cream. The white gold and metallic cartons are elegant and the products are nicely packaged. I’m not a fan of anything in a jar, but when it comes to luxury skincare, that seems to be the norm. However, there are some nice details including mirrored tops on the jars and clear lucite “spoons” to measure out the creams.
Cleanser & Toner:
Rice Cleansing Sorbet sounds really sensual, but this is an elegant and effective cleanser that whisks away makeup and even remnants of your sunblock. The 1.58 oz. jar is $45 but you only need an almond-sized portion of this solid cleanser. Rice Bran and Wheat Germ Oils plus Vitamin E deliver anti-aging nurturing ingredients to gently but thoroughly remove all the “yuk” Apply it to dry skin and rinse with water enjoying a very light floral scent. That’s it!
The Bitter Green Toner has a fresh herbal scent and is housed in a plastic bottle with a gold top. It’s an anti-aging powerhouse loaded with 33 different antioxidant greens including artichoke, broccoli, and matcha green tea. It’s a chic way to hydrate and purify your skin without dehydrating it. Although it focuses on Oiliness, Acne/Blemishes, Dull/Uneven Tone, it is good for all skin types. However, the cost is $95 for 4.07 fl. oz. Again, maybe a splurge for some, but it’s possibly the best toner I have tried in years and one not to miss in your skincare routine.
Salmon, especially caviar extract, is wonderful for your skin. However, the salmon cream is not pink (the glass is tinted pink) nor does it smell like fish! However, it does have caviar extract along with other proven anti-aging and skin-nourishing ingredients such as Niacinamide. The product is Cruelty, Triclosan, Paraben, Mineral Oil, Benzophenone, and phthalates-free. This luxurious cream absorbs quickly and helps to combat the signs of aging, At $120 for the 1.69 oz. jar of Salmon Cream, it’s an “indulgence” that is worth the money.
