MAC Cosmetics Future Forward Features a Makeup Collaboration with Four Visionary Musical Females!
You knew it had to be coming — M∙A∙C pairs up with a powerful generation of women who are reshaping music’s future in a series of exclusive collaborations. From the crusading pop of Halsey to the soulful R&B/pop jams of Tinashe and Lion Babe’s modern funk, to Dej Loaf’s electrifying rap, each visionary female taps into the core of her own creative force through a limited-edition color statement.
Love those Lips! March 17th is the date M-A-C- Cosmetics launches Future Forward, the first of an ongoing series of collaborations and campaigns that features new female talent making waves in the music industry. M-A-C- has always used musical performers in their campaigns with very different personalities, from the first Viva Glam “girl” Ru Paul, to the likes of Mary J. Blige, Boy George, Pam Anderson, and Lady GaGa just to name a bitty few. But for Future Forward, the idea I’m sure is to get new generations of people to identify with the M-A-C- vibe. The first four to be tapped for Future Forward are young and daring.

This is my photo of the Tinashe palette. It’s really beautiful
The first collection begins on March 17th with Tinashe, who worked on the “Times Nine Palette” of eye shadow ($32.00), which borrows names for each shade from track names like “All Hands On Deck.” The palette is really beautiful. Like many of the M-A-C- palettes, there are six rounds of eye shadow. There’s a mix of formulas, from matte to metallic, just a little edgier the basi

here’s a photo of the actual Halsey Lipstick I received, and how it looks on my skin.
Halsey’s lipstick debuts on March 31st, but I snagged one so here’s a sneak peek at the actual lipstick. Hers is a gunmetal matte lipstick ($17.00) that looks edgy and works really well with her blue hair I tried it and it definitely made a statement. It looks grey in the tube and on my hand, but it’s actually more metallic (gunmetal) on lips. It looked good in that “runway” way, but the gunmetal grey was out of my comfort zone. Maybe that’s the whole point women who want to look have that kind of image…very different. I am showing the lipstick on my hand, it just was too much to photograph it on my face. But I love the divine vanilla scent and I might wear this color when I’m feeling particularly bold.
Next up is Detroit rapper Dej Loaf, whose rosy-nude lipglass ($15.00) gets to the stores on April 14th.
Last but not least is Lion Babe’s gorgeous metallic gold Liquidlast Liner ($21.00) with a foil-like finish on April 28th
